That's odd, I don't remember putting my autographed pic of Amon in 0846 online.......but I must have done! Memory gets that way in time..........

The Bandini pic is 1965, not '67.

Does anyone know where this car is today? I heard it was in a museum in Danville California. Information suggest it was originally with a Tan interior as it was not like the other (3) cars built as race cars. Built more as a road version.
    Thanks.

If you would put 3767GT on the street in Angola today, you would get the same pic only with better digital quality.

And the kids would still think it is a space ship. Quite amazing, really. It must have seemed otherwordly then.

The story I got was that all the cars purchased in the 1990's for the collection of Samsung/Chairman Lee remained in warehouses in Germany and California (with some displayed at Blackhawk) while the import "issues" were being worked out.
Allegedly the buyers thought the SK gov't would waive the onerous import duties as the museum would be of national importance.
When that didn't happen, the cars sat and sat and were never imported. More recently, of course, some of the high profile cars have been news items as they've been sold off from the South Korean owners into the hands of private collectors.
Perhaps this isn't the thread for it, but I would love it if someone more knowledgeable would comment on this.

    Best,
    Dave

Do you know where 4619 SA is these days? I read that Lee sold a GTO for $28+ million. Do you know if he sold the LMB?
    Thx.

Here is the only photo I could find, from Automobile Year. I did a high-res scan and then blew it up. Unfortunately, even though it's cropped from a full page photo, the resolution isn't all that great. It does give a different angle, however. It's obviously some component (fuel cooler?) placed in the airstream.
