I spotted this on the internet http://jalopnik.com/#!5792518/awesome-1000-horsepower-chevy-powered-ferrari-360-is-awesome With a Veyron and Zonda in the garage this guy just got bored Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd do this before doing another engine rebuild on the 355. However, since the first one lasted 15 years, I reckon it'll be another 25 years before it needs it again, by which time I'll just install a bank of batteries and electric motors.
hmmm......even if I'm not too old to drive, I'll probably be too old to contort into a Ferrari! I'll be in my Prius years
Looks like that is a 360 GT that he has aborted there. No doubt a bit cheaper than a rebuild from Michelotto.
Much cheaper, much more reliable and much more power! Interestingly, my understanding is that the weight is similar too...not sure how that's possible! I've heard intersting numbers in terms of price, weight, power and size with respect to chevy corvette engines and the replacement of a ferrari engine with one. I'm not 100% sure about how I'd feel about a Ferrari sounding like a V8 supercar, but worse things could happen.
About time you woke up to yourself and seen the light. Absolutely! I took my Dad for a drive in the Ferrari when I first got it and took the poor old fella 5 mins to get in and 10 mins to get out of the passenger seat. He was 70 yrs old then and was too stiff to get down low and in the car. Imagine trying to squeeze behind the wheel at that age. Especially if you are not a smaller guy and have a bad back etc.etc. Im glad I bought my car now so I can have at least 30-40 yrs of enjoyment out of it before I get too old and stiff to get in and out of it comfortably.
You say that, but how long since you've driven it? Also, saw a pearl white California today. I'll keep saying it, it's a beautiful design in my eyes. I don't care how it's not a "real" Ferrari to some (whatever the hell that means), it's just stunning to behold.
I might have to do that. Lol, probably a bad time to ask me this as I have driven over 200 km in the last 2 weeks in it. But yeah, normally sits for weeks at a time. I ordered some gearbox oil so will take her out again these days off (if new oil arrives) to get the oil hot so I can dump it and fill with the new stuff. I predict another 100 km outing directly.
Today I spotted my 1st non-red 458 Italia on the road It was a glossy white with a black roof and titanium rims with yellow callipers. The interior was all black with white stiching and the best part was it was parked with a disabled parking permit I wouldn't want an all white 458 but with the 2tone roof it was hot Also had random numberplates and was spotted @ Eurobay
Sorry no pics but a 2 week old California hit up the back by an uninsured Magna. Hit hard, door gaps closed up. Ouch . . . .
