    Strange, but true.

But then, his team mate is closer to Seb in points than Webber is, so maybe Button should go faster, too.

Like Webber said a long time ago about MS and his domination. "If you dont like it, drive faster". Same applies here. Webber in the same car is the only viable opponent until all others finish their copies of the Red Bull technology and put on the pressure. We shall see I suppose.

Still the next 3 races will be big. No other victors but Seb and its almost, not quite, but almost over. I dont see the Bull melting down with some type of mechanical problem. They will keep developing. Loss and difficulty will come from driver or strategic errors. Of course anything can happen :)

Anything can only happen in an infinite universe. Since we live in a finite universe, only a finite number of things can happen within this construct, and then only within the realm of probability. I exclude possibility because that's a romantic vestige of thought carried over from the notion that the universe is an infinite space dwelling within the limitless expanse of timelessness.

Well like I posted elsewhere on here, Button needs to pit and get out in front of Vettel and slow him up, not that I like this sort of stuff but team mates orders need to come in to play IMO.

Can't expect Webber to bring the race to Mclaren ect.

    Button's got a short memory!

Look at what happened when he won his WDC - he ran off into the distance to start with but only just made it over the line in the end.....

Ferrari seems to me to be much closer than they were. We shall see when the European season gets under way properly.

Development for the Brawn was very slow due to funding. That wont be the case with Red Bull.

There are several vital threats against Vettel at this point. Including Jenson the F1 Conservation Master. Far from over...

webber is due for a big race win. we know he can do it, I'm not sure what's holding him up this year except team orders/sabotage.

webber showed he can run with vettel last year. it wasn't until the very end that things came undone for him.

You said it man; last year was in the past :). Webber is on his way out. Vettel has been improving every race. Now he's substantially better than Webber. And yes, we're talking tenths of a second here, but that's an eternity in F1. He's a great driver, no doubt, but his chance to be a WDC evaporated in Abu Dhabi last year IMO.

If Vettel had Webber's reliability it wouldn't have been close.

Vettel is leagues better than Webber...Webber was just allowed to hang around in the points totals so long due to Vettel's car breaking while in the lead.

    yes dear.

this year vettel is spanking webber.

last year vettel got rattled when webber put pressure on him. that's just how it is.

I don't think vettel needs you to make his excuses for last year btw.

Rattled? Lol, yeah so rattled he dominated 3 out of the last 4 races and would have made it 4 of 4 if his car didn't blow up in Korea.

I think he may have been frustrated at one point last year (Turkey, drive thru at Hungary as examples) but he was as poised as one can be when it counted.

    ...dear.

well DUH....obviously that's the time I'm referring to....he bounced back big time and won the thing...we all know that...but thank you anyway, captain obvious.

way to miss the point though.

vettel had bad luck early in the year

webber started beating him in points AND on the track.

Vettel got rattled and lost the plot for a while.

webber choked but Vettel gained composure and won the championship and hasn't looked back.

he was rattled and EVERYONE knew it !!!

they took Webber's wing on, gave Webber the "faulty" chassis and he smacked Vettel's arse .... dear

Vettel can be beaten , you've just got to get in front and he panics ... ask JB, he had him for a co-driver in one race :p

Believe me son, I fully understand the feeble point you're trying to make.

To say Vettel was "rattled" is asinine. Webber was only faster on track at 3 races, Monaco, Spain and Belgium. Then the flaw was found in Vettel's chassis and he went back to smoking him. IMO, Vettel was calm and collected all year, never really panicked and just kept getting poles which eventually translated to wins once his bad luck stopped. Yeah he made some errors (Hungary, Belgium) but he never went and cried in the motorhome like Webber reportedly did after his choke job in Korea. If anyone gets rattled it's Webber, as evidenced by his "not bad for a number 2 driver," pathetic drive in Australia, and gaffe following the Chinese Grand Prix this year "at least someone beat him."

You have no evidence Vettel was rattled. His "incidents" were just from racing hard (Webber had his share too) and I personally believe Seb thought he was destined to win the title, knew he had the faster car, and knew he was/is faster than Webber.

Unless you're Vettel's shrink, spare us from trying to pass on speculation as fact.

    Here come the Aussies! LOL!

Sorry to say, but "ya boy" was reaaaalll lucky he was even close last year and will proceed to get his ass kicked all season this year. Even Boobens had some races where he beat Schumacher, it means little.

I'm glad you understand it. That means I don't have to make it again.

Vettel's demeanor changed completely at one stage last year. His reaction when he got out of the car after crashing with webber was totally out of "character"....that was the first tip off. He lost composure for a while. Now I'm happy to say he's back to normal and is taking everything in his stride.

I'm not sure why you're defending him so vehemently. I'm not bashing him. I think he's sensational....but there was a time last year when he just 'went off', and that's all I'm saying.

we don't all blindly follow webber you know. why won't you stop generalising.

He was pissed...I think that's different from being "rattled" by his teammate is all. Honestly I think that the only person who was rattled was Webber, who showed signs of being mentally beaten by Vettel all year and eventually ended up choking.

    Agree to disagree?
