I was curious for all the 458ers, what are some top speeds hit and where? Maybe even in other cars as well. How fast? Where at? So far for me, 164mph on local freeways in Southern California.
175mph average over 36 miles from Benton to Bishop in eastern California in my former 360. top speed according to speedo was around 183mph if I remember correctly. Waiting to get my 458
Was open road at nighttime. One lane in each direction. No lighting of any kind. Had radar detector. But simply no CHP out there. Biggest risk was potential of a random cow moving onto the road. Looking back at it, it was pretty nuts. If I had crashed, would have died pretty easily. Did that before wife and before kids. Yep, it was exciting but also really dumb. 360 was solid all the way through. But still remember it vividly. Did it back in 2002 timeframe.
very cool yet wreckless as well I'd be afraid of what I potentially couldn't see, it being so dark and with only 1 lane, not much space to maneuver neither.
WOW! 12 minutes holding the throttle at 175 +/- Just wow. I know that stretch of road...deer and coyote were other risks...

155 mph in an 07 430 in NJ. 3 lane-double sided highway during the middle of the week with no police in sight. Only lasted for about 4 or 5 seconds before I had to brake.
Wow where did you drive at that speed??? And how did you record it? I hope you didn't have a camera in your hand while going at that speed...
I arrived to 321 km/h in my scud with fabspeed complete exhaust and ecu reprograming, with my f40 300km/h, but the car can more, but not the driver................ for the moment with my 458 challenge 280 km/h in montmelo
Wow, that's 208mph i believe. Incredible! It stores in the whatever you call that computer thiga majig thing thing.
Hmmm I am sorry you can do whatever you want for what I care but which track where you at? I have never heard or seen any track where you can go that fast for so long. Even towards the end of the video you don't have to brake but just slow down....
Haha fair enough I know the place well.... Was it fun or a bit boring though? I think it is a lot more fun on a "real" track no?
Yes the circular track is boring but the handling track is amazing, it's called the little Nurburgring
