'82 308 GTSi - Looking to remove the shock spring and adjust the shock damper to a lower setting - not sure how long the spring is in the free state so I did not want to use the basic external tools - was thinking of this tool to remove the spring (Koch Tools Part #: KT20252) any feed is appreciated -

Also, looking to touch up the paint on the shocks - any color sources for touch up?

    Thanks - Wayne

I've used the outside spring compressors without problems. The springs are quite compressed on the shocks, so they do require a fairly long-ish tool to remove. As you can see in my photo, the tools don't have the retainer clips on the ends to secure them on the springs - USE THEM!

I think at this point in time, your shocks were red (no?). If yours seem to be orange, then it's Plasticoat T-31 Orange
