    Hi!
First of all thank you for advice on oil for my engine. My 400 is now a Ferrari. She purrs to dream!
Today is the front bumper that I have a problem. He is depressed, torn. What should I do? Buy a new one? Where? How Much dinero? Or do it again. But it is covered with rubber so I'm not mistaken.
Once again I need your help!

    Salut Theo,

I always get my used parts from these guys http://www.eurospares.co.uk/breaking.asp' There is also a guy in Holland that maybe has 1 or 2 400s for parts. I'll try to track him down.

It hurts everytime I take a look at some of these cars. Some are very restorable, but they seem to be worth more in parts. And the british insurance companies have no mercy on the pedigree. But on the other side, we can keep our cars on the road thanks to these "wrecks"

I found that a fair share of 400 series cars listed are there for pictures only. Many of these cars have been long gone or in inventory for several years and the parts are either sold or no longer exist. Its better to call them as they seem to be very slow in email response.

    Salut Peter and everyone,
I saw and heard your 400 on YT, it's a pure pleasure. It is almost new! Yes I want a bumper for mine, unless I do make one by a specialist. What do you think everyone? Someone there had the same experience?
    TY for your help Peter!

I bought a new replica front bumper that was made of fiberglass and is a perfect match for the original. It comes in bare fiberglass finish and needs to be primed and painter. Silkens "rally black" is a perfect match to the original color and "sheen". I got the bumper via Ricambi America or Rutlands. It was about $1400 if I remember right. If you do not find a replacement, I will search my records for details.

Indeed, it is impossible to find a front bumper! I'm interested in any information regarding this rare commodity. Mine is too distorted to make a cast, otherwise it would already be done. Who devotes himself to sell me one? My wife is very angry against me in my dreams at night I cry "I want a bumper, " she is very jealous! Who will deliver me from this obsession?

Correction to my earlier post. I bought a new front bumper from Eurospares. Sterling price was 267 pounds with shipping to US it came to $442. This was in July of 2009. The bumper is very well done in Italy and is finished fiberglass not rubber. Shape is a perfect match. It required virtually no prep to prime and paint with Silkens Rally Black. (Shop charged me moe than the cost of the bumper to prime and paint. A gallon of the paint is over $300, but of course he uses it regularly for many jobs.) Being fiberglass it should not distort over time and will be easy to repair in case of a small bump or scratch. Silkens makes Rally Black in a spray can also, which I used to refinish my rear bumper.

I checked my records and did not find that I recorded a manufacturer's name. All I remember is "Made in Italy".
