I have no idea about the CS on ebay. Specific CS's(or others cars) have a premium based on color, options, miles, and service.

Finally sold the 23k mile car it seems and the 26k mile car they had...the 26k CS was last listed at $105,000! [I was starting to think about getting a higher mileage one to use on the track...and perhaps keep the one I have for less strenous usage (seems like the pricing for nicely optioned ones in good shape might be firming up a bit lately).]

Wishing I had waited a few months and picked the 23k mile car up. But I was impatient to get my first exotic. Still happy with the Gallardo but thinking I might be in love had I gotten the CS. Maybe a Scud in a few years.

i spoke with craig at FoS and the owner took the car off the market. apparently it is the owner's only car right now so it is his daily driver. it sounds like he is still looking to sell the car, but firm at $105,000.

i second the point that jason is making: there seems to be a bimodal distribution for CS asking prices right now. I see a group of cars priced in the 120's (see: ebay, autotrader), and then another group priced in the 140's (see: FML classifieds, ferrariads, autotrader). while one would assume that the price disparity is due to difference in mileage and condition, this is not always the case as I see a couple really nice cars in the 120's. a great example is the TdF car on ebay posted higher up in this thread. it's a beautiful, one-owner (local to me) car that, short of a PPI, has checked out entirely and the buy it now price is 128k.

in short, it seems to be a great time to be in the market for a CS with some great examples in the 120's.

unless your G has 26,000 miles and a ton of rock chips, you got a better deal.

Agreed. My dream to own a tdf cs. According to the seller, they only made 10 tdf cs? Is this true?

The disparity between them, and the actual sale numbers, is explained by the same MO in residential real estate today. On the sale side, you have realistic sellers listing houses for what they will sell for and you still have some sellers who think it is 2005. On the buy side, 90% of all shoppers are tire kickers looking for a steal and of the remaining 10% maybe 75% of them will actually buy something.

In other words, it is only a time to sell a CS if you are ready to deal with dreamers, tire kickers and the mere possibility of a buyer willing to pay above $120k right now.

I would disagree with this comment:

"In other words, it is only a time to sell a CS if you are ready to deal with dreamers, tire kickers and the mere possibility of a buyer willing to pay above $120k right now."

I know of 3 buyers in the last month that have all paid over $140K for their CS's and in 1 case over $150K. So, the TdF car is a buy all day long and my guess is that it will be gone inside of a month at that price.

If I had the budget for that TDF it would be gone (or at least getting a ppi). But I'm a dreamer and not wasting anyone's time tirekicking.

It is just dialogue but I know as many times two which have sold for $120 and less. My point isn't that every car is trading at that number. Just that there are few buyers who would pay the number you mention. Luckily, the CSs are not riddled with cars like the Scud market. Those numbers are really down and the gap between Scud and CS has clearly tightened. Even worse is the 16m market....

No, that is not true. His ad also says there's only 348 CS' made worldwide but he probably means there are 348 CS' made for the US market.

I think there could be 10 TdF CS in the US, but definitely not worldwide.

So many CS's have been wrecked and totaled. I was amazed at the stories I ran into when I was cs shopping. I think I looked at 2 tdf CS's with bad stories. So who knows how many there are.

Do you happen to know the VIN's of the bad story TdF CS'? Were they involved in accidents?

Just read the ad. WTF!?!?! Where does this guy get his info. There were over 1200 stradale's made and TDF blue was, If I recall, the third most popular color. I have one too. Also, $6000 for a major. Even at a dealer that is high. The car is represented as clean and in the current market, $128k asking does not seem off. Anyone know if the car has sold?

I believe the # of CS's he is quoting is the US # not in the world. Even though I believe he is also wrong with that #. I thought the# for the US was 499 or so?
