It seemed to me Busch was doing all he could to avoid Harvick post-race. Surely he couldn't let Harvick just beat him through the window?

Still, that was a dangerous move.

    helmet + window net = immunity :)

wrecking an unmanned car on pit lane could have gone really, really bad.

Furniture Row! Tremendous residuals as Edwards alluded. Nice to hear Regan's Mum was looking after critters. Odd turn of events with Harvick and Busch. Great drivers both, never a fan of either.

the funny thing is, I *almost* picked him this week and didn't. I've been switching between David Ragan and Paul Menard, and thought I needed to pick someone else so I didn't use up all my starts with the other two. oh well....

I had Kasey Kahne on my bench and was too busy/distracted to move him to a starter after qualifying. Sad to say, I didn't realize the race was last night until too late; I thought it was today so I'd have more time to make the change. Oops.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR has penalized Sprint Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick as a result of rules infractions committed at last weekend's event at Darlington Raceway.

Busch, driver of the No. 18 car, and Harvick, driver of the No. 29 car, have each been fined $25,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four Sprint Cup Series championship points events until June 15 for violating Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing -- involved in an altercation on pit road after the conclusion of the race).

"These penalties are a result of what occurred on pit road after the race was over," said Kerry Tharp, senior director for communications, competition. "They are about maintaining a safe environment on pit road."

They would never suspend either of these for any races.

    Yawn...

didn't NASCAR park Harvick for a cup race at Martinsville five or six years ago? IIRC, it was something he did during the previous day's truck race.

in my opinion Busch should have gotten a one-race suspension for wrecking a car on pit lane, that was beyond idiotic. but yeah, that would hurt the ratings

The rubes are getting excited about the upcoming
steel cage grudge match (ur, uhm) NASCAR "All Star
Race" where the "gloves will come off" and "all scores
    will be settled".

I had Kenseth and Martin this week, they finished 1-2. (also had Truex Jr and Labonte, they finished 8th and 18th. Ambrose was on my bench, drat)

so I picked up my fourth win, and more importantly knocked Scuderia Ricky Bobby off the top of the rankings!

    woooooo hoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

    Kyle.

I don't think he has won the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400 or the World 600. After those, the rest are 'minor'.

Kyle has won something like 96 NASCAR races. When Hendrick dumped him and instead have some stroker who is merely the 'fan favourite' it makes you wonder why they dumped Kyle. Maybe t-shirt sales are better now...

    I don't disagree.

Kyle is - or was - a complete ass, but there was no question he had talent.

All I am saying is your greatness is judged by how you do at the top, just like all NFL QB's are judged by how many Super Bowl rings they have, fair or not.

Look at Mark Martin, he has not won 'the big one' in any sense, Rusty Wallace won the championship in 1989. Jeff Gordon hasn't won much of anything in years so his legacy is waning as well, but not as bad as Jr's is.

at the time, I think Hendrick made the right call by sacking Kyle. he was wadding up cars left and right, not listening to the car owner or crew chief, causing problems within the team, generally being a little punk. Hendrick isn't a good owner with young and wreckless drivers; Joe Gibbs is. I think it was the right move for Hendrick to let him go, and JGR to pick him up.

and I also disagree with Mark Martin being a "stroker". over the hill, sure; but he's still one of the hardest racers in Cup.
