Historic Reg....maybe a sign of things to come? http://www.jdcsa.com.au//Articles/Historic%20Registration%20Letter%20May%202011.pdf
Ouch. I reckon he was tagged from behind as he was looking in his mirrors trying to get out of the way. His belts didn't look like they were done up very tight or do you really move around that much in a crash? You can see the benefits of a HANS device after seeing that.
I dont know, but looked very scary indeed. I noticed he drove over some of the white lines on the road before he lost control. Unless there was something on the white paint from another car like SD just suggest? Either way, it was a hard hit and I would have crapped myself if I were driving.
Elises are well know for sudden grip loss, Nurburgring well known for lots of wood-duck drivers. He goes over a little crest then loses it, I'm guessing air under the nose. He had a helmet with HANS attachments, but no device, what a goose. He'll do his belts tighter next time...
thanks to my anonymous friend. "Dopo 4 giorni stupendi al Ring la mia prima esperienza finisce cosi........ Un porsche lascia una scia d'olio e proprio io sono il fortunato che ci finisce sopra, risultato viaggio in parte rovinato come la macchina..... Per fortuna sto bene e la macchina si aggiusta,,, Alla prossima Ring non mi scoraggi mica" A Italian dude "After 4 wonderful laps of TheRing, my first visit ends like this... A PORSCHE leaves/drops oil and i am the unfortunate one who finds it.. I am ok and the car can be fixed.....etc" 1:31 "MERDA"...****!! LOL
geez, imagine if he'd been following a Jag! ps. I don't believe the excuse, because the two cars in front of him went through without incident.
I know you cant read this, but to me it looks like the two cars in front had a different racing line through there. The two cars ahead look to be a tad more to the left of the track and probably avoided what was dumped/spilt on the track. The driver of this car was more to the right if you ask me and probably why he drove through the oil and crashed. At least he lived to race another day.
A bit fast through turn 1 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1VII6dfexI&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
Not really too fast I reckon, but missed the turn in point by metres (maybe result of too fast) & was out on the marbles.
