    Hey guys, how's everybody doing?

I'm in Cannes now. Just my luck to run into the film festival which means full rooms & double prices. was in Monte Carlo yesterday & not much luck either. But great to see lots of swanky cars & of course beautiful gals too :D

The highway is pretty amazing. A10-A8 is built on bridges of 200-600m above ground running through mountains with just two-three lanes wide so you'll see the sea by your side & valley on other.... quite a roller coaster ride.

Oh yeah MP. Boats are galore here & they come BIG! Geez, lots of money here!

Audi, we had the pleasure of the guys from DK engineering with us throughout the Mille Miglia as they were a support crew & one of them is the son of the owner.

We're seriously thinking of getting a car, perhaps an F550 Maranello in London to enter events & holiday trips then sell it for about the same or most a loss of 1/3. A good car is about 50K pounds top!

Boxer is about 90K now. There were two in the event. A black one & a two tone red/black which was about concours condition. The engine was totally rebuilt & you can see the green gaskets, no sign of grease but the water hose did come lose on first day's run which was fixed @ the carpark.

There were also several 275s running with us. God, these are sexy cars to the core....

Metal halide takes a few seconds to reboot everytime u shut it down so you can't have instant light when u return to look for something & it's HOT!

Get LEDs, there are many new models now.

Just buy one of those fancy exhaust that has a valve control. They lighten up your life & the car too!

Jon: Looks like you're having loads of fun over there! I'm looking forward to your pics!

And if any of you folks decide to head up north; let me know if you would like to arrange for a shoot! Just did a quick one with an LP560 over the weekend; drove all the way to Putrajaya and back :D Unfortunately, forgot to bring my tripod along...

Have a good time over there Jon. Yes, I met James and his brother. Their dad has a fab collection of cars, I saw a Stratos, 275GTB and some other jaw droppers in their garage. DK has a very good reputation as a top class restorer cum workshop.
As for the Boxer, it would be like getting slow cooked in the car if you drive it on our roads. The radiator pipes run from the front back to the engine under the cabin. Beautiful car but perhaps suited more to a better climate than ours.
How is the 456 doing after the journey? We are all following your progress so pics please!

Hey, I'm absolutely loving Cannes. The glitz, cafes, food, shopping, gals, awesome cars are simply irrisistable :D & we have nude beach here :D apartments start from just Euro140K while most are half a million & anything above 1 million will get you a decent bungalow complete with heated swimming pool & garage for 2-3 cars.

MP, you should park your boat here!

Didn't know much about the Boxer but I like the Daytona & it's still affordable but heard the handling is like a boat.....The 456 is doing exceptionally well & I'm very glad that my guys upgraded the brake pads as they are extremely important during the rally. Some guy's car had flat battery....

The gearbox has very pronounced cold gearshift problem due to the weather here so it needs at least 10-15mins to get buttery smooth. It gets as hot as 32dC in the day & drop to 14-16 @ night. Can you imagine me & Wee Han were sun tanned in Italy @ this time of the year?!

I'll try to post some pics later

Nice! I'm finally able to see some pics over here :)

Haven't seen much 355s over the last 2 weeks here & there was only one yellow GTS in our Mille Miglia Ferrari Tribute plus a mint UK F348 Competizione owned by a HK guy.

Cool. Is that a Ghost or Phantom?

I've been seeing a lot & I do mean a lot of Rolls Royces (especially drophead), Maybachs, Bentleys (abundant) in the French Riviera. Ferraris are alright while Porsches are plenty as usual but no supercars so far except some SLS & several AMGs including a matt silver S63? AMG just an hour ago.

Ooh I like the engine view.

It's a Phantom drophead, it does have a massive road presence. Is your car being shipped back already?
