    Savannah is just around the corner, and I have something new and exciting to announce.

    At FCA2011, we will not only have our typical track event, but also something new - a race for those who wish to compete wheel-to-wheel. This race, the Seibert Cup, is named in honor of David Seibert, the long time administrator and creator of the North American Ferrari Challenge.

    The race is for all Ferrari Challenge cars, so if you have one, or know someone who owns one, encourage them to enter the inagural Seibert Cup! Of course we will have our regular run groups as well, so get ready for the track now-from novice to Historic Ferrari Challenge Racing.

    John Berendt, author of the New York Times all time best seller, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil says this about Savannah:

    "I was enchanted, in fact I was seduced by the city of Savannah. People ask me how did you choose Savannah, and in fact it chose me that day and from then on as well. When I went over the bridge to Savannah from South Carolina I was overcome by the beauty of the place, it was spectacular. I'd never been in a place like that. The greenery, the vegetation on all sides surrounds, above, underfoot, wherever; and the mansions where absolutely spectacular, they were 19th century Victorian mansions and townhouses, and 18th century wooden dwellings.

    A lot of my friends have been to Savannah because of my book, and I am delighted to say that not one single person has been disappointed by what they found, Savannah does not disappoint."

    For those staying in town, The SAVANNAH BELLES FERRY will be available for you to cross the river from 7AM to 12 Midnight, and consists of a 5-10 minute commute. Of course you can also drive as it is just across the bridge. Note that The Bohemian has covered guarded parking for those who want their cars in doors. The Mansion's parking is secure, but not covered, and we have a list of hotels on our site that offer dicounted rates to FCA members.

    Please make sure you register ASAP at www.fca2011.org, as I expect there to be a shortage of hotel space. If you are not a current FCA member, please join the FCA at www.ferrariclubofamerica.org. The Westin may already be sold out and other hotels are listed on the national meet website.

    Savannah has so much to offer, and we feel this will be an event that will be talked about for years to come.

    Check out Richard Liebhaber in the mighty Ferrari of Washington 360GT that won the Rolex series. This is a very cool track, banked concrete. You can see the hotel and bridge in the background as he heads down the back straight-right past the clubhouse and spa.

    We REALLY need you and your Ferrari for our TV appearance on Mid-Morning Live!


    Hi Everyone,

    I have set up a press & media day to get publicity for the Ferrari meet:

    Ø Friday, May 27th – 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

    COME OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN WITH US!

    ITINERARY:
    Ø 9:30 - 10:30 am, we will be on Mid-Morning Live for a live broadcast. The cars will be in the parking lot and they will be showing the cars and talking to the owners. We meet at WTOC Studio (1511 Chatham Center Dr , - Savannah, GA, 31405) NO LATER THAN 9:30 am please. After Mid-morning Live we will follow each other to Hutchinson Island.

    Ø 11:00 am – 12:30 pm – We will meet with the press/media with the cars at Hutchinson Island and give them rides around the track.

    Ø After 12:30 we will be free to go or go out to lunch and drinks.

    It is really important to get a good showing of Ferrari’s on these 2 days. The more impressed the press is with our showing the better our coverage will be.

    Can you all help me get the word out to the Ferrari club members and let them know how important it is to get a good showing of cars on these 2 days?
