Its come a long way since the early FLOW version of Chromium! I am now using the latest Hexxeh build on a bootable SD chip on this EEEpc. Very very nice. From stone cold, it booted in < 20 seconds.

Full sync with my Google accounts is pretty amazing. Wifi, screen camera, etc... all work native in the "OS".

    Anyone else try it yet?

Are they selling it yet? Or is still in beta?

Chromebooks go on sale June 15th.

I installed the flash bootable Chromium OS (which is the same as the CR48 or whatever Google gave away to beta testers) onto my little netbook.

No thanks, trusting google with that much of my personal information is like trusting a serial-rapist with my hot girlfriend.

Daniel, what version are you running? I was on the dev channel on my Cr-48 but 12.433 dev was unstable, so I flipped back to beta. The latest update feels a lot more like a finished product.

EDIT I'll add that the Atom in the Cr-48 is crap but this thing boots from cold in an average of 14 secs. The wake-up is instant, but it burns too much battery on standby, they need to optimize that.

Hexxah builds nightly releases. On Thursday(?) I upped again to "0.13.530.re41b1fe9"

It has been quite stable. Considering it is little more than a browser on a wee bit of Linux, I'm not sure what I could do that'd break it.

The boot time is now consistently around 6 seconds. Wow.
