If you knew this was your last lap, which car would you drive and where?

Paul Newman choose his Corvette race car at Lime Rock.

Me? It would be Laguna Seca.

The car? I dunno. But a F458 Challenge would be kinda cool.

And no, I'd decline the stinkin insurance.

Dale...alltime great song, appreciate your posting. I haven't heard that in a very long time.

As far as the last lap goes, I'd settle for a drive around the neighborhood and a blast up
    I-30 in a 275 GTB/4.

Once upon a time, in another place, far, far, away, that song was very personal to me for some reason.

But you gotta admit. Paul Newman had class didn't he?

You know, if you gotta go, you might as well go in style.

Newman did indeed have that elusive quality.

ZZ top...too bluesy for my taste.

where.. well that is absolutely clear.... The Nürburgring Nordschleife... with what... I probably choose a 250 GT SWB as this Colombo engine is what I'm dreaming of all the time... and the SWB ist the prettiest car in the world... for me at least

When I know the big day is imminent, I will wonder far, far into the wildness until I drop to the earths floor. The key will be to get far enough away from civilization so the critters, air and sun will have time to consume me before I'm found.

Spa would definitely be the place for the drive.

As for what to realistically drive... I think a 348 would definitely be the car for me. However, assuming I wasn't physically fit enough to manage a clutch and manual gearbox, I'd opt for something with an F1 transmission or a sequential gearbox. So I think a 360CS would be a great backup. :)

Assuming I could arrange any fantasy car, then I might go for Schumacher's Ferrari F1-2000, the car that clinched both titles in a season for Ferrari for the first time in decades. Other fantasy front-runners would be P4/5 or P4/5C.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I think my epic cross country drives are all done.....I'm thinking it'll be a lap on Loop 610...LOL!

Although a blast out FM2222 from Austin headed for Lake Travis, with Jesse Dayton covering the Reverend Horton Heat tune of the same name, would be nice.
