Hi, I have a 360 and I have read here on the forum that you can disable a hose to the valves and thereby make it sound better (louder) in the low revs. So I thought I might try it, however, I couldn't find any on my car, and I have the stock exhaust system!? Was it possible to order the car without the valves from the factory or why can´t I find any on my car? See my pictures... /Thomas Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Exhaust silencer and the tips both look bog standard. It's possible someone cut the valves out and welded in some filler pipe along the way but I suspect that it's much more likely that you simply haven't found your valves yet. Here's a pic of my standard exhaust removed from the car...... maybe it will help you identify where the valves should be and to determine whether or not they really are there or not? Good luck. Thank you! I finally found them, but the hoses were already removed, so I guess it's a aftermarket system for me if I want more sound. Should I do something with the lose hoses (prevent them from sucking in air or something)?
Good stuff! Yes, you should plug the hoses to prevent air from being drawn in the whole time. Some use a golf tee or a suitably sized bolt. Anything at all that's a nice snug fit will do the job. Now you need to check out exhaust options, there's a current thread you should check out as it will probably develop over coming days......... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324610 Good luck!
