    a birdie tells me that he was traveling (direction) from Holland Village toward the city ... apparently floored it as he came off the bridge & lost it ... managed to nuke his candy a$$ all by himself ...

    apparently this is his 2nd lp-640 write-off in 6 months ...

    really .. I thought he was heading the other way .. ie floored it once past the camera & lost it on the corner. I know someone who lost his Porsche there a few years back.

    twice in 6 months? good luck finding insurance now

    Wow! That sounds just like a major fukk-up in the making, or made already. This sucks ass big time. Two in 6 months, I wouldn't dare entertain the thought of once in 6 years.

    Yes hearing the same. I wish him a speedy recovery, & recommend he buys himself a Prius as his next car.

    Two LP640s in 6 months? I hate to say it, but I think he deserves it, especially if the little birdie states that the fault was explicitly his...

    Morgan Freeman was driving a black one with chromed bits in a movie (can't remember the name) but it left a good memory :)

    It's too late for you to start hunting down these classics here by now. They're either restored or scrapped. A good eg. was the DeLorean was offered to me @ just S$65K last year (nego) but needed work while 308s are most certainly over S$120K by now even for crappy examples. Maybe I should've kept the Testarossa afterall but roadtax is not encouraging.

    Good option is buying overseas then import as classic plate.

    Thank goodness it was not my friend when I saw the pic but still a fellow lambo owner.

    Yeah, a birdie also told the same & he is actually paying; listen to this, mid~high five figure sum premium for insurance a year just to drive the Lp since he lost the ncd for the earlier one. I hope it's not what I heard but the premium for an Lp670 is S$40K+ for a clean record guy before NCD so go figure.

    Anyway, poor owner underwent operation today so I wish him speedy recovery.

    Wow, strange coachworks/carrozzerias on these Ferraris. I thought the first one was a Jensen variant but the 2nd one don't look too bad.

    I saw a red one briefly while driving pass the Maranello factory & the nose does look good, very modern looking car. Probably good for some users since it's 4WD & darn intelligent.
