I've got a detailing question question from a donor to a charity I volunteer for. I don't know the exact details about his Ferrari that he bought recently. I believe that it is a late 80's or early 90's model. But the black plastic surfaces on his center console and side buttons are becoming sticky and gooey. I know the top can come off so I was wondering if maybe the previous owner of the car left the top off during the rain or didn't use a proper cleaner, but is there any way to remedy this or clean it up or does he have replace the black center panels of the car, and where would he find those parts.
hello Dunham welcome to f-chat if the ferrari you are talking about is a 355 its a known problem.........here is a link of repairing this problem STICKYNOMORE.COM
I used this stuff called goof off and it worked great took all the sticky off just takes alittle rubbing, but it works, just make sure you get (goof off) and not goo gone cuz that does nothing, good luck
As Joe said, this is a common problem. It happens with age and it is not caused by anything the previous owner did to the car. Joe's suggestion of STICKYNOMORE.COM is the way to go. They will match stip the surface, prepare it, repaint it, and when you get them back the surface will look like new and match in color.
