Islero European market report before Essen Technico Classica :

Nothing happened in this specific Islero market, exception of #6432 and its London record sale for 135.000 € last October 2010.

We all know there are several Islero under full restoration in Europe which budget (acquisition & restoration) will largely overtake #6432 hit price.

2 cars (ready to be used) are for sale in Europe, so I'm considering there is high "hurry up" today about Islero as the only restoration project to my knowledge worthes minimum 47.000 € !!!

Thanks to Edouard, this Islero engine is identified : 2054 and we still miss its VIN...

But we don't have any record about that engine serial number in our Islero file ???

    Anyone can help ?

Driving on the A3 into Southwest London yesterday saw this beauty.

Sorry it's not a great picture (my wife grabbed it quickly with my camera phone).

Just wish I had been in my Daytona instead of my daily driver Alfa, so that London could have reverbed to the sound of two classic Italian 4 cam V12s.

Is it possible that this is #6150 ? Last year #6150 was at a restoration shop in Germany, engine number was noted as #2052

Thanks for that. Actually saw it again today. Nice to see an Islero out and about, can't remember ever seeing one outside of a car show before.

Curiosity question how many RHD ones are there, guess not many?

Only 4 Islero GTS were delivered in RHD configuration; #6432 (ex-James Bond and auctioned last year), #6435 (in UK), #6438 (in Australia) and #6441 (probably doesn’t exist anymore).

6189 is also a factory RHD.

    6612 was converted to RHD.

No extra news about the other Islero, it seems to be in standby. The owner is living part in Australia, part in Switzerland and apparently has many other cars. Thus, he is not in a rush.

    I eventually found the confirmation!

I was glad to see a closeup picture of 6000's trunk in the Auto Italiana copy I just mentioned. The rear script clearly states "Lamborghini Islero GT"!

It seems that the "GT" part of the logo was removed for some unknown reason at some point in time. The hole that it left is maybe the reason why 6000 nowadays bears a small Lamborghini badge at the same place.

PS: Marcello, I used part of a picture taken last year at the Islero meeting for the sake of explanation. Tell me if I shall remove it.

    Thanks a lot!
What would be nice would be to reproduce the old script and fit it to 6000.

Go for it!!! It is such an amazing car. The more I live with it the more I love it... It is almost like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde: one the one hand, you can use it like an everyday car, barely noticeable among the traffic and on the other hand you can have supercar fun with epic rides, great performance and a glorious soundtrack.
