My car has been dubbed "The Car". For example: MY FRIEND "You want a drink?" ME "No. I drove The Car" (not that I drink and drive in my other cars but I will NOT take a sip when the FCar is out) What do name your car? Maybe a picture as well. Cheers!
The 328 never picked up a name, although I sometime refer to it as The Italian. However, the new Fiat has already been dubbed "Luigi" by others in the household, and I fear it will stick.
For me it's "the truck" 04 Mazda pickup, "the car" 87 Ferrari Mondial, "the bike" 93 BMW R100R, or "the Eos" my wifes VW commuter. I know many people who do and I consider it weird but I don't allow it to keep us from being good friends. My buddy has named his Ducati and it means a lot to him but I call it "your bike" I have referred to my car as a her from time to time even though it is considered a warrior by me. I guess my car is a female warrior.
Guess I'm the only cheesy car namer: I named my 348 "Tess" after her older and more experienced sister. I just had to honor the TR somehow as it was my childhood dream.
It's a huge relief to know I'm not the only strange one around here. I don't have a Ferrari, but I do have names for my car including the rest of the cars we own. I have a 2009 MINI Cooper S. It's pepper white (sort of like a creme for those who don't know) with a black roof and black mirror caps. I named it "Oreo." We have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that is a slate green with a taupe top. It's a 5-speed manual so I had to include "stick" somewhere in the name. We have a little trout fish antennae ornament on it so I named the Jeep "Fish stick." We have a 2008 Lexus RX-350 which I named "Lexi." Finally, we have a 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty Turbo Diesel Crew Cab. Our last name is "Folk" and we wanted to tie that in with Ford (since they both start with "F") so during a road-trip, we came up with the name "8-F". This means there are 8 "F"s in the name. Full name: Folk F****** Family Four-wheeling Four-door Ford For Fun" I'm strange I know. -G.B. BTW, here is a photo of "Oreo" Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't but my GF used to name them. She named my 246 Dino GT "Fellini". I could never call it that (to me, it was always "the Dino"). But, she liked it so I let her.
That is postcard worthy. Wow! My wife named my old A6 Avant Lola. Her Honda Fit is blacked out so it got named Darth Fit.
Pretty sure this thread has been done a few times before.... But my 328 is Sophia.... the Merc E350 in Gunther.... the F E350 truck is Stumpy Truck Jedi
