following my friend's alfa montreal in the roadster a long meet on local B roads: SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
i have never been a BIG fan of open top car... well, i have to say the diablo roadster made me completely change my mind!! driving the car with the top off and a good sport exhaust is intoxicating
Hey Emilio, I see an orange Alfa Is that montreal painted 'arancio miura'? Would you know if its the same shade as used on actual Miuras? I'm trying to settle a debate. Thanks!
grazie Joe ah ..ehm... you are correct it was a fun meet and we had some chances to go a bit fast (well....to be honest, something more than a bit )
ciao Shaun yes, orange montreal i am not sure if the color is the same but i am 99% positive since it was a bertone car (both Gandini worcks) of the same era i will look into that Image Unavailable, Please Login
a couple other lambos at the meet: silver 2004 G and a red downdraft countach ( you can spot it in this pic, it was driven by a young dude so sloooow i wanted to cry! ) and many more interesting cars Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear Lamborghinisti, Very cool Emilio!! A Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster is the most exotic Diablo ever! But.....where's the wing....?? Don't castrate da bull !! Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice !
hi §hamile i admit that when i bought this car i was not really looking for a diablo roadster... i was looking at De Tomaso cars and really almost bought a super nice low miles DT pantera GTS (special one off car ) but the papers with the car were a big issue.... this car came up for sale on a forum at a good price and i purchased it without thinking a lot about it driving it had been such a GREAT surprise! without a doubt my fav. convertible lamborghini (ok...may be with the exception of the one off miura roadster ) a future classic (imo)
this car is born wingless and was originally a factory car ( i have papers confirming that automobili lamborghini spa was the first owner) i love it wingless (looks even lower and wider like this imo) and it will remain wingless as long as i will keep it ps i have enough wings on my other lambo
Thanks! I was talking to a Glasurit paint rep the other day and while researching the orange for our Miura, we found there is no code. However, there's an orange with the same name listed as an Alfa Montreal color, AR601. They pulled a sample and its much more red, yet every orange Montreal I've seen is identical to the one you posted...and very similar to the Miura as well. Perhaps the Glasurit formula is wrong.
Love your color DR, makes me miss my car bad . It is still in California looks like I will have to wait another 10 months before I can bring her into Canada. Man I hate stupid out of date import laws.
tks and i like the titanium one if this would make you feel better, it tooks me 1 year to register it and around 2 to restore it so i had a very long wait!!! but worth it in the end
Geez! very nice Emilio. Where was this? It reminds me of the Mille Miglia I did few weeks back with all those nice B roads & very nice Montreal too, always have a soft spot for this beauty
Very nice photos Emilio , thank you for sharing , i have relatives in northern Italy , some day i will visit , I hope so !, in the mean time photos will have to do .
