    Supercar Saturdays - June 4, 2010 at 9 AM

It's time to gear up for another fantastic Supercar Saturdays event coming up on June 4th. Same time, same place: The Arboretum of South Barrington from 9 AM to noon (however please arrive at 8 AM if you plan to display your car). We had a blast at the first event with over 150 cars in attendance despite some looming clouds. Look past your memorial day weekend plans, and RSVP today to reserve your preferred parking spot at the best morning show in the Chicagoland area. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

It was a great event. Great turnout, weather and cookies!

Had to leave earlier as my driver window had been busted overnight at my place and had to bring the car to the shop before they closed.

Had a good time there today. Thanks to Rick Schneider of Chicago Motor Cars for the heads up on this event. Also, thanks to a very friendly saleslady from Schaumburg Audi, by the name of JoAnne, for letting me check out a V10 R8 Spyder.

I hope to make the next event, Rodbuster.

I think it was a record number of cars that showed up for supercar saturday, close to 500! I don't think I've seen more Lamborghinis and Ferraris together in one place in a long time!

Supercar Saturdays ELECTED to part ways with the Arboretum of South Barrington for a couple of different reasons.

We will be holding the July 2nd event at The Promenade in Bolingbrook as our website states: http://supercarsaturdays.com/content.asp?tid=5

In the future, please contact Supercar Saturdays directly with any questions or concerns rather than reaching out to the venues.

Just to reiterate Jeremy's post above, the decision to not hold SCS at the Arboretum was 100% the decision of SCS. I was the one that personally called them to advise them of the change of location. They were "surprised" but understood our decision once I went through the reasons for the change.

We are looking forward to having the next one at The Promenade Bolingbrook. They have a great venue and amenities that the participants will enjoy. Ultimately, the people that attend and their interesting and varied cars are what makes events fun. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Also, just so we don't have to go through this again, we are working on adding a few additional shows at new locations. So if you hear that SCS will be held at different location, it is INTENTIONAL. The idea is to try to hit different areas of the Chicagoland area to keep things fresh, interesting and provide people who may not have heard of SCS an opportunity to participate. We'll keep you apprised, but you can always check out the supercar saturdays website for information.

Finally, we have been fortunate to have the support of Carla and the LCA over the years. I've had fun getting to know them and going on the occasional run. Although we have also had great support from the Ferrari community, just recently the Ferrari Club of America Central States Region has decided to add SCS to their event schedule. Please note that their website has the correct location information as we gave them advance notice of our decision to relocate SCS. We appreciate their support!

    I hope this clarifies things.
