What People Do When They See A Ferrari.

Got the Z just for a fun, reliable DD that I don't have to worry about parking at Home Depot. Amazes me every time I take it out, it gets 10x the compliments that the 360 gets. Of course, then again, the 360 rarely stops for very long outside my garage!

Definitely, though, people feel they can approach me more comfortably in the Nissian than when I'm driving the 360. Funny how that is.

 

I gotta try that sometime!

 

years ago i drove to a porsche dealer in the 512tr to see the new 911 turbo.
about 10 minutes into my walk around the dealer's lot, i noticed that all the people who had been looking at porsches were now gathered around the ferrari. and the salesman noticed as well, so he came over to me and asked me not to park in the customer parking lot - i asked him where i should park, and he said there was a public place around the block....ie out of sight. so i just left.

couldnt stand the competition!

 

cause no one would look at the porsche if you rolled to a ferrari dealer right?

thats not my opinion. i have had porsches and still do, and i was there at the lot to see the new car with the idea of perhaps buying one....i am just retelling the story of his reaction...

 

Yeah, I don't know what would possess someone to do that. I think its hilarious that they felt the need to insult us.

 

My first experience were from à polish lady. She came over to me and took My hand and sade Thank you very much. Crazy

 

Maybe you should have asked to talk to the manager. Perhaps they should pay you to park your Fcar on their lot to draw some customers. LOL

 

I keep getting the same stupid question "how much does it cost"

 

Talon- For that very reason, you need to know the original MSRP of the last model, fully optioned, of your car. Once quoted, they will leave you alone. Never mind the price of a used one today, they want to know it is really expensive so they do not even think they could ever possibly afford one.

The real nut cases like us, that really want one, will do the research and see if they can stretch for it, like a lot of us do. For the rest, they want to hear a really big number.

I get that heaps as well, from almost every single person who knows I recently got the f-car.

My response now is, "Lol.. too much....", with a grin on my face and change the topic!

One guy, even did some R&D on the current value of my 360 and tried to cross reference how much I paid for it, versus what I pay for insurance. Just.. amazing.

 

Well I don't own a Ferrari (yet) but I do get compliments on my BMW M3. So, I figure I would receive both positive and negative attention from owning and driving a Ferrari.

 

I get this one a lot too. I'm never quite sure of what to say.

 

I use that line sometimes too and also try to change the topic.

 

Had seven people at the gas pump yesterday...

All were very polite and asked some intelligent questions!!!

Seems to work most of the time.

 

I usually just say $1.00 I won it in a raffle, everyone always laughs and smiles.

 

Someone gave me the finger while driving for no reason at all. I was just cruzin minding my own business.

 

Don't own a Ferrari yet but when I was at a gas station in my SRT-10 Viper a guy asked to take pics I agreed since he asked politely. I just left a gun show and had bought a M-4 assault riffle and on my way home...I told him some people carry license for a pistol well I carry this lol should have seen his face!

Unfortunately I get that occasionally also.

Don't really know why but they are the one with the problem.

I just finished getting my F430 Spider registered at the BMV. This blonde yells out to me " Take me home with you".

One day when I was in a Viper, some guy in a F150 truck in front of me rear ended someone at a yield sign. Didn't even put his brakes on... I guess he got his eyes caught looking up at the rear view a second too long. Looked like everyone was okay.
