To me the damage doesn't look that bad which I guess fits the description of a fairly gentle rollover on grass .. So I'm surprised the insurance co wrote it off & the high repair cost quote
If you feel like getting the third one all messed up, I'll take it for a spin....or a roll or two! Maybe I could try to drift. Seriously, sorry that happened, but glad everyone is okay and you don't seem to be taking it that badly.
Did you get any environmental hassles from any agencies regarding fuel/oil/coolant spills while the car was upside down? Sorry to see that picture. Good luck with the next Fcar.
Yeah, as part of my fairly limited "Ferrari rescue" program, it was looking good when it was $20K. I was thinking that if I didn't have the money to fix it, I could break out the front window and make it into some kind of insane home theater. Two great seats, etc. But now it's getting expensive. That's a good sign though. Hopefully someone will save it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is getting a little rich. I was thinking if I could get into the car in the low $40's I would still have some room. As with all online salvage auctions, the real bidding starts at the on site sale. I think this car will sell in the mid $50's.
Hey Bill, I just made a deposit on this car and would LOVE to have a conversation with you, could you PM me or email g i a n c a @ exotic lambo dot com. Regards, Gianca.
Sorry this happened to you Bill/Vera, We have seen many come over from that same country with no driving skill and get on the road. This is terrible Bill, but with no skill combined with a CS is dangerous. Taking your hands off steering wheel is doubly dangerous.
Interesting. So it sounds like if you lend a car to a friend and they crack it up, your insurance pays for it. Thus I would assume that would also include increased rates? It's nice to be generous lending your car but similar to lending say money to a family member seems to have more of a down side? Possibly end of friendship, risk the being seriously injured and the tragedy that would ensue, higher insurance rates etc. Seems like it would just be better to say no? Glad this one worked out for the better.
you gave your precious car to somebody to impress his uncle...That's totaly pointless. I ve been bothered by a couple of friends to give them my Modena to drive. Of course i refused them and since them i quited adding a second person in my car, i keep it for my self. Besides, they are not poor, they can get their own if they really like it.
