Don't know - but is there any particular reason you don't want to use Barbagallos (bearing in mind I had my car serviced there this week ;))?

Really just looking around. I've had my Range Rover serviced by them before. The $1200 service was $620 at Franzone so I would like to see if there are other options.

I did ask them how much a new F1 clutch installed would run me and the quote I got was a shocker. Not sure if he was ball parking or what but $12k seemed a bit steep.

If you don't mind my asking how much did your service cost you?

12k you must be kidding. These dealers must think we are stupid. When I had my tr the dealer told me 5k for the dual clutch plate plus fitting so about 7k all up. I looked around bought a new clutch plate thru a Ferrari second hand seller for 2k brand new and had the dealer fit it so it ended up being 3.5k half cost. These cars are simply machines and a good workshop can work on them just like any other car. I hate that the Ferrari service people make believe it is some sort of black art.

I wouldn't want my clutch setup on my 575 by a mechanic without access to an scan tool . You need to set the PIS correctly for your clutch to last .

without the SD(x) it IS a black art, even Marc needs the SD kit to service the modern cars and those kits cost a fortune and someone has to pay for it

I know what you mean about the LR service department but the ferrari team seem much more customer focussed.

As for my recent service it was $600 but that's for an Elise so simple and nothing computer controlled :)

Ok I thought I'd call Barbagallo's again and speak to the Ferrari service guy (nice chap knew his stuff) not the same person I spoke with before, he has informed me that the clutch replacement would run me around 7k

    Strong aussie dollar perhaps? ;)
