what do you think the penalties are? yeh I got done twice in 1 day about 4 years ago .. luckily they let me off one of them. Ever since I've been very careful driving along that section
nah...no detectors for me. Its good that we keep within the speed limits too especially around town. Just too many cars in Sgp nowadays....except for certain stretches at certain times. How's yr GTO coming along? can ship out before their long siesta?
don't really wanna know ... if u can get b*tch slapped for chewing gum, this is a whole new level ...
this GTO...sounds familiar...? (........... now updated to status 50. This means that the painted bodyshell is attached to the chassis of the car. The next stage is the internal fitting out. also, there is a chance that it will ship before they go in for a very long siesta ... )
Wow, gosh. That's a lot of money. Oh my.... LOL! Actually, they need that small cracker to justify the emissions of the regular AM cars or face penalty. This is happening to all manufacturers, they have to go green. That's why Porsche is working hard on hybrids while small companies will go bust or join group to spread the ratio. Some conspiracy?
Yep & another @ the Great World City towards Zouk nearby. There's a list of these overhead bridges on the net some years ago. Thank goodness it was your friend! Always keep to 2 digit speed in Singapore untill wee hours or the old words, u can do anything but don't get caught
Bro, what do u mean by "not pulling back"? Btw, have u done tuning for the Gallardo? Please try it & let us know
Summer's coming very soon.... Max, u should just collect the car from the factory, drive around Eu for a week or two then mail it over
Sorry boys, thought we could do a Sat or Sun morning drive but Mrs had other idea. But probably for good. I found the famous Tangkat beef kwayteow now in Kluang, just 45mins drive from 2nd link. We could go there for breakfast & back. Or I can bring u guys to Parit Jawa for the Assam fish as well, taking some 60kms of B roads exiting from Yong Peng on NS, including a 10km stretch of windy hill road but don't wreck it! Agree mate. Town's too packed these days. Btw, do u guys use detectors in China? Wonder if it's useful in Malaysia as well, Fong?
He could just load it up the back of that dingy. Even has a little garage with electric gate back there!
I think I have been there with some of the boys on a drive. But how is the traffic when crossing the border? Don't really fancy sitting in an idling car for hours.
Just fish out the blue notes. Ain't that how they work? Even if you don't speed, they will still pull you over for some easy cash.
In China, they use CDs and place it on the license plate. When the camera flashes, they create a blinding effect. Install and remove before toll booths. I doubt V1 will be effective in Malaysia. For it to work, the speed traps must be real first.
I usually travel off peak hours but there was still a 30mins jam returning from Johor customs & all smooth on S'pore side. If u guys want mornings, better do pre 7am as usual. Believe the jam will ease off after holiday.
Haha, that reminds me. My US friend sent me two bottles of reflective spray over license plates some years ago for the same effect but didn't think it worked Strangely, some MY patrols do stop you with a valid reason. I don't know where they stake out exactly but they won't stop me in fancy cars if i keep to proper speed but i get what u mean.
I note the key word "real"...yup, and must also be manned by "real" cops... Half the time the speed traps arent real in the sense that the cops are just moonlighting for extra income. That's why they sometimes dont give you ticket even when you ask for one. Malaysia Boleh!!!
actually i remember trying to look at the road traffic act for the actual provisions outlawing radar detectors, couldnt find them, anyone got any idea? anyway as a matter of academic interest , what is the level of technology these days , are detectors detectible
of course...there have been cases of bandits wearing police uniforms and vest.. Then there are even more plains clothes ones flashing their police IDs... Of course if you see a MP5....best to stop and look subdue..
Spaing, I had my second brush with MP5 last month in KL. Was in a ktv joint along bukit bintang. Place was low profiled on the outside, real hot on the inside! A fight broke out outside our room around 2am. Could see groups running past our door, some with shirts off showing gang tatoos! We literally barricaded ourselves in our room. Party continued in the meanwhile of course. But it was only when the mms and manager came into our room with a few special ops dudes with MP5s that we left. By the back door nonetheless because the steel shutters were down by the main door. First time had a sub machine gun in my ktv room! Malaysia Boleh !!! Yeah... and SF, the booties in KL mainly grey ones...not illegals per se. Lots of action in Sunway!
