Actually, I am very familiar with the car.

Seller says he "thinks" it's Tour de France Blu but after extensive investigation it is Mirabeau Blu.

I saw both colors side by side and in the shade, the Mirabeau is similar to TDF but in the sunlight there is a very strong purple/pinkish iridescence. Not right for my wife nor I.

When I made the seller aware of the color of his car (he might look under the hood)and asked for more pictures, he never got back to me and he never added more pics to his yahooautos ad.

Please make sure you do your homework on any Superamerica before you buy,as in any Ferrari.
Make sure the updates are in place regarding the flip-top roof,ie: struts, delamination of glass, etc as its cost is around 25K to replace. Iam sure there are some experts on the Superamerica on this site who can help you more..
There is an absolutely beautiful Superamerica at Ferrari of Silicon Valley with only 8xx miles on it..Grigio Silverstone/Bordeaux/HGTC package stunning example on consignment from a collector. I almost bought it but chose my 599 instead in the same combo..Good luck with the search..Kevin

Your husband is a lucky guy, for sure.

I have a Tour de France (TDF) Blue Ferrari 550 and the color of that Superamerica is not TDF Blue.

Your husband will love owning a Superamerica.
And it would make a fantastic gift to give a husband.

If you end up buying one, please post pictures of it!

Father's Day is coming up but I don't think my wife will be buying me another Ferrari. :)

It's pretty neat that you are doing this for your husband. It brings back good memories for me. In 1985 my mother bought a 288 GTO for my Dad for Fathers Day.

I have an SA and think it is one phenomenal car. One of Ferraris best V-12 convertibles......it does not get much better than that.

If you want red I know of a red/tan stick shift SuperAmerica that is available. The stick shift version is fairly rare. PM me if you are interested.

    Greetings Dr.S from Australia.

My 575 is Blu Mirabeau. I like the colour, has IMHO much more character that R. Corsa (sorry Taz!!).

An interesting effect with this colour is the slight colour distortion that you can get as you walk past the car.

I notice in some 'light conditions' the colour seems to distort into a very faint purple hue ... which needs to be seen in the flesh

Do you have a sister (who's just as willing to buy a potential husband a Ferrari? I'm kinda fat, but I'm losing weight; and I never leave the toilet seat up)?

I won't have access to my database until tonight, but it definitely looks like Mirabeau Blu, a shade of blue introduced with the 612.

Okay, I just checked; it's definitely Mirabeau Blu (not that you guys didn't already arrive at that information).

Wow, I had no idea there is a Superamerica that close by. If anyone is interested and wants a first-hand opinion, PM me and I'll go have a look for you.
