    on my 98 SV its very finicky...i guess its the angle of the tank...anything to make it a smoother fillup?

    Although it may be too late to do anything about this, there was some fix on my '98 SV I had done in '98 or '99 which allowed one to fill the car up without the constant shutting off the gas pump.

    It's the nature of the beast , may want to grab a folding chair, i noticed some pumps work better then others, on my roadster it works best placing the nozzle at eight o'clock position and gradually squeezing the lever to no more then 3/4 of the way.

    I put the nozzle in upside down, then hold it sideways and push down.

    Depends on the gas station nozzle, of course.

    I never top it off because it tends to spill a bit over.
