Actually, I'm very suprised on how spectators can be so close the track in WRC. Balls made of steel I guess. Especially when the car goes over a hump, airborne for a second or so, if lose control, sure will just plough into the crowd. Anybody watched Le Mans that day? Ultra freaky accident, with bits of the car flying behind the safety barrel. A few marshals could easily been killed, if not seriously injured.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jnibRyrK-o[/ame]
and yet another write-up ... http://jalopnik.com/5813457/bmw-crashes-into-lamborghini-before-and-after/gallery/1
That's it. I'm not going to be a photojournalist! U guys rem that movie where the cars crashed out then the stadium came crumbling down with people getting sliced in half etc....?
Btw, that white Murceilago looks like a proper SV with small wing instead of premier kit but I could be outdated, think there was an SV kit from Premier but I didn't pay attention.
Sorry mate, i was referring to the porker in the Sepang video but we do a lot of convoys & accidents like what I mentioned are common anywhere. Did u mention that some cars were on trade plates? I was invited to join this SuperGT display and they couldn't get enough cars so probably last-min drivers+cars were fielded by car dealers.... anyway, most important issue is. No injuries on both accidents. Badly bruised ego for the white Lambo though. @ the rate this is going, think I should start a campaign on "Save the Murcielago"!
Hahaha, maxHP, not too sure whether you know about this, but stadiums in Malaysia can come down crashing out-of-the-blue when all is quiet and calm....Luckily no event at the time of crash, or not casualties would be by the thousands I guess.... ONLY IN MALAYSIA.... http://www.gvishnu.com/stadium-gong-badak-collapse-kuala-terengganu/
Yup, there were quite a number on trade plates. Definitely couldn't get enough cars to join in, hence the RX8's and TypeR's on track too. Apparently the Lambo is only 3 MONTHS OLD!!! Well that's what I read, but the plate on it definitely points to it being so.
NEVER !!! we cannot be left behind ... we indians love creating things that self-destruct before completion ... we invented crap construction ..........
HAHAHAHA, I use this thing as my downwind marker when joining back for circuits and landings, its right next to the airport. The training here in Kuala Terengganu is definitely windier than Langkawi though, probably wind played a role in it collapsing? Haha Thank God I'll be here for only 5 weeks. This town is dead, literally!
Maybe we can petition to Mel & setup an advanced driving class for all owners of Lambo Club, better image than booze+casino then hopefully better sales for him as well. Marcus Yeo & Ron Lim are both veterans in the racing circle here in KL, I'm sure they can teach us a thing or two. I hear that there are some buyers+spouses who are put off by the image of reckless & playboy image of Lambo drivers. All these news just doesn't help. Justin? toto?
wonder if it will help tho ... on lambo trackdays, i'm typically 1 of 3 who actually track ... while the rest pose in the pits ... racing suit and all ...
it is my imagination or do Lambo drivers seem to find themselves in trouble more often than any other type of supercar driver?
sadly I'm not overly surprised by this sort of thing .. and in slow convoys in particular it is unfortunately quite common
