I checked the ebay prices last night and it seems that all the GT's jumped in price by 10K. I think the owners have been reading this thread!

The beauty of an overwhelming majority of the mods is that they are easily reversible. Most owners are keeping the original parts just for that reason. So they can reverse them or sell the original parts along with the car.
Also, most of the mods are of such a high standard that they look OEM ……and a good number were designed by ex-members of the design/build team. That’s an anomaly.

I'd be tempted to go for the scissor doors just to make the car more useable.

That is one mod that actually should go on a GT car. It looks fantastic!

I own a lot of different cars and I still love driving my GT. I think it's one of the best built American cars out there. I don't think these cars are gong to drop in value at all, there are more and more getting wrecked/damaged. Most of the GT guys also enjoy driving them so there are a lot of them with miles. I for one enjoy looking at mine on the lift..:)

These car are unique in appearance, reliable and cheap to service. I own 15 cars and I 5bought my FGT in 2005, blue with a white stripe.

I think these cars will always look modern and exotic. They drive very well even by modern super car standards. I keep all of my cars stock as they leave the factory.

Barret Jackson sold one at auction for $230K plus their add ons.

I will never sell my Ford GT I love the car!

My only negative comment is it is very quiet. This can be changed with muffler changes as I have seen done. But stock is still my plan.

The car has become a classic within the first 4 years after they stopped making them. This is very unusual.

My freind who also has one changed his supercharger pully to boast the hp from 500 to 874. A 15 psi boast was changed to a 23 psi boast. What a performance change.

I'd boast about my boost putting down 874... to get those numbers, I'm sure some meth injection is going on, and maybe something else too.

the only changes he mentioned to the car was the bost upgrade and a muffler change. The other change he made was the linkage on the shifter. He made it so it was had a shorter throw.

He quoted 874 hp not sure if it was dynoed but it was alot more powerful then my stock FGT.

headers on the stock car are about as good as it gets in terms of flow rates. Cat Back is where the unique sounds come from. The only reason to go with aftermarket headers is to reduce weight as the stokers are pretty heavy. On the GT, the Pully/Tune/cat back exhaust / wing is the way to go :p... and the Stillen front splitter to keep the aero balanced lol

    thanks.

He would have to have more than a pulley and muffler change to get 874hp. A pulley, muffler& tune will give you about 100 hp more at the rear wheels. My car has twin-turbos and made 850 rwh on pump fuel and 998 rwh on race gas...
