Ok folks, always looking to go bigger, we are starting to kick around ideas for next year. We are kicking around an idea that would like some feedback on good or bad. What would you say to the Concorso at Lime Rock racetrack during the Ferrari Challenge race next year? Just an idea that is in its infancy but we would love to hear your thoughts.

Good creative thinking...but my vote is no to Lime Rock for a Concorso. Of course it's an incredible venue, but it's too far away. Keeping it in the Hartford / Farmington area we attract more friends / family. I think the polo grounds worked great! Just my two cents...

If a consideration is to draw people that generally do not have a great exposure to the Italian marques then Limerock is not a great place. Most, if not all, attendee's to the Ferrari challenge event are deeply seated in the front row of the admiration club. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, immersion into the Ferrari lifestyle, access to the track vendors, the spirit of competition, all those magnificent machines, but I'll be there anyway and the link to the Children s hospital will be forever compromised.

I echo Jay and Lane. I would keep it centally located in the Hartford area. I liked both the Hartford and Farmington locations, and each has its pros and cons, but all else being equal, I would personally like to see it back at the capital.

Thanks for the feedback. The Capitol was nice but unfortunately, it is not big enough to hold everyone for 1 and 2 we can't have vendors there and not enough space to have sponsors there. I think have vendors and sponsors is good to have present.

I loved it this year at the new venue. The only tradition you might want to break is having it ON Fathers Day itself

Went last year and again this year. Although fathers day is a day when fathers should be able to do what they want, I have found it to be difficult to pull it of.
My wife always likes to celebrate fathers day with her dad........
    I guess I shouldn't complain.
    Another weekend would be better.

I actually love having it on Father's Day, it's become a tradition...since well before I had my car. It makes it a bit more 'special' of an event / day, great function to bond around rather than just having burgers at home or something. Here's a shot of my now 'big' girl at the show 6 yrs ago :D

There are great arguments for and against Father's Day. We will have to see.
