New Member in CT

Hello - I am Robert Laverty (hence roblav for login). Like most of you here, I am older and have been around, in, and under cars for 35+ years. For the last 12 years, I have been racing formula cars in SCCA and have had a national competition license since. I also pretty much built my last two cars, so I am adept at design, fabrication, TiG welding, aero, setup, etc.

Most of my performance street cars have been the very early, lighter, and raw Porsche 911's. What I want now for the street is a mid-engine performance coupe, and Ferrari has quite a few of them. I started looking at 308 GTB's but have concluded that the TR is getting within my price range reach.

Lastly, I'd like to participate in track and "meetup" events, and I'd be willing to help instruct at any track events. Feel free to drop me a line / message. I am not experienced with specific Ferraris, but what I know can be applicable to many issues on these cars.

Almost ended up with a TR today. I'll find one that's not too bad for under $40K yet!
