Wow! Amazing! Was this in the city?

Edit: Also I saw today an Aston V8 Vantage on 94 like 30 minutes ago.

OH MY GOD! I thought there was no way one of those would end up in Chicago. Incredible spot!

More rare than most Ferraris and Lambos in town. And faster. ;)

But almost double the price, far less attractive and far less heritage.

    Those are fairly general comments:

    - double the price of what? any car is double the price of another
    - less attractive? depends on what you're comparing it with, many Ferraris/Lambos are prettier, but several Ferraris and Lambos are much less attractive than the LFA IMHO
    - less heritage? compared to Ferrari yes, but not when compared to Lamborghini, Toyota sports cars have been around for a long time and have been racing for a long time, the LFA is derived from their not so distant F1 engagement (Lamborghini's F1 years are much longer gone)

Maybe so but there is definitely something to be said about a car being rare. I jumped out of my ferrari to take a picture of this car.

I would have too. Nice environment btw. Without the garbage cans, this is almost a perfect place for a Carsleuth foto shoot (hey, that rhimes!).

F50 and Carrera GT at Autobahn Country Club this weekend. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics; however both cars did do some hot laps, which was cool to see.

I suppose you're right. I meant almost double the price of the typical modern Lamborghini/Ferrari. It's over 400k when all is said and done. I can't think of a Lamborghini that's less attractive than the LFA. Ferrari on the other hand... well, we have our disagreements in that sense. :) It's certainly not a bad looking car, and I guess I have to see one in person before I can pass judgement. I was more comparing the heritage to Ferrari. You're correct about Lamborghini.

Oh absolutely!! An incredible sight for sure!

I like how you think. ;)

So there are three??? That's insane.

    What color was the F50?

The LFA is not only a technical marvel but also a rare collector car so don't compare it with a Murcie or 458. It is in the Reventon/Enzo class and there the price is right.

As for the looks: it is magnificent

I have seen 3 so far IRL and loved them.

As for uglier Lambos, well there is the LMP ;)

How about one of these? Rare but still looks like a bug on steroids. Rare....perhaps.....good looking?....... No way. I don't see the attraction to a LFA. I may need to see one in person.

I suggest reading a tech sheet about the LFA and it's engine. It's a bit like a F1 for the street, comparable maybe to the F50 in that sense.

Technical marvel, yes. However, I don't think of it as in the same class as an Enzo. I disagree with you on the looks. (At least what I've seen in pics) Not bad, but I'd take a 458 any day. As for the LMP, (LM002?) that car has it's place. In a way, it's sort of charming. :)

Don't get me wrong: given the choice I would take the 458 too

I wasn't comparing it's looks to the Enzo but it's rarity and technology. Actually I think it beats the Enzo

Not much of one for the LF-A either.. but there are a few around here. One of the first was actually delivered to a guy in the Chicagoland area. To each everyone's own though. Wonder how they're doing on the secondhand market..

I'd love to see that race. Here are the stats:

    LFA:

    Top Speed: 202 MPH
    0-60: 3.6 seconds
    4.8L V10 552hp

    Enzo:

    Top Speed: 220 MPH
    0-60: 3.14 Seconds
    6.0L V12 651hp

..even if the stats on paper for the LFA were better guess which I'd rather be driving.. (the answer of course being, F50)
