So not much of anything really.

    Maybe 2 Porsche Turbos.

    1 x 458, 1 x 355, 1 x 360, 1 x 430 spyder.

No other F Cars except for DK's yard.

also 1 Murceilago and that's it.

Aaron, while in Maranello try to get a tour of Classiche if you have an interest and the time, and also be sure to have dinner at Montana. I don't kow your itinerary, but if you get to Modena, Osteria Francescana was named one of the world's 50 best restaurants.

    Enjoy!

Sorry Carlo for the delay as we have had an average internet connection.

We stayed in 2 Chateau's both equally as good.

    1) Chateau DeVilliers-Le-Mahieu. About 50kms outside of Paris.
    2) Chateau Etoges. About 120kms outzide of paris and close to Rheims.

    Food at both was sensational!

Yes I am in Vicenza and will be here for at least 5 nights. We may end up in Lake Como?

    However, I can't be sure.

    Thanks once again guys!

It really hasn't been too much trouble, actually I prefer to do it this way, otherwise if I tried to download all of my photos when I return and try and re-trace my steps I will never remember everything that we have done.

My wife is always cool when I loading everything and she too has enjoyed reading my posts!

Thanks once again for all of your support.

    Regards

    Aaron

    Day 14

    Vicenza

OK, so we arrived in Vicenza last night and unfortunately booked one of the most seedy locations in all of Vicenza. The reason being was it was close to where we had to drop off the car to be repaired.

    In the morning, my cousin came to collect me and we dropped off the car to the Ferrari Specialist and given the fact that I am fussy I organised the following to be repaired;

    1) New Clutch.
    2) New Brake Lines.
    3) Supply new Brakes to be fitted in Australia for the compliance.
    4) New throttle cables.
    5) Replace one of the suspension acutators as it had twisted on itself.
    6) Replace the rear Venturi undertray. (This was always missing which I new prior to buying the car).
    7) Repair the drivers door catch strap.
    8) Change the aircon filters.
    9) Supply new Front rubbers for the lights to be fitted in Australia.

I know that this may sound like a lot of work and expense, however I would prefer to have a car that is 100% rather than one that is 80%.

Aside from this work the Mechanics gave the car a clean bill of health and the car should be ready in about 2 - 3 days.

Now back to the accomodation, my cousin swiftly checked us out of the hotel, explaining that this is the most famous place for prostitution and some other dangerous activities.

He then checked us into a 16th Century Retreat near the countryside of Vicenza and as the owners are family friends they gave us the very top room in the clock tower with some pretty amazing views. The room is massive and my wife was very happy.

We plan on staying here for 5 - 7 days and will be doing day trips and then returning the same day.

Since we don't have the car, Venice is on the list tomorrow and what better way to get there than by train.

    Great thread!

Love your signature line & we have to start a new tradition with that Horse. Something like the "traveling gnome" - get pics of the horse in all kinds of interesting locales and pass it on to the next person.

    Aaron,

You will not believe what a difference the new clutch will make.

I'm also with you on doing everything to keep the 550 at 100% ...

Can't wait for you to get in the car and push down on that new clutch!

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Thanks Scott,

We went ot the Villa tonight.

It is designed by the famous architect that basically designed all of the ancient buildings in Vicenza and it is currently owned buy a wealthy count.

This city has a beautiful historic side which is wonderful.
