No, just one like the left side. I can see why you said that though. It's heard see but it is a little clearer if you increase the brightness of the photo.

    Cheers Jim

Rod Stewart must be the most famous consistent Miura and Lamborghini owner. Top Gear should get him on the show or has that already been done? Jeremy probably wouldn't ask him the questions I'd want to ask anyway. Apart from the video above are there any more interviews, in print or in video of him, where he just talks about his cars and in particular the Lamborghinis and Ferraris?

    Interesting you should say that.

Ive posted before that I know of no other person anywhere who has purchased a new example of each of Lamborghini's flagship mid-engined V12 from the Miura to Countach through Diablo & Murci. He doesn't keep anything, but he certainly buys & drives whatever ultimate car Lamborghini makes, then he goes on to the next new thing. His devotion to the marque spans almost 40 years.

I'm a big fan. Fantastic taste in cars. What a life he must have lived and still lives. If I was him I'd still have the SV but he does have other things in his life to compensate.

From your very informative 'The Lamborghini Miura Bible', Joe your memory is correct. The book also states the colour, interior colour, whether the car had a/c, split or single sump and Rod's number order in ownership of this car.

Since he is the subject of discussion..

Here is Rod piloting 4866 with girlfriend-of-the-moment Swedish beauty Siv Alberg, outside Le Dome Restaurant - March the 10th, 1978.

FWIW the car was serviced at that time by Claudio Zampolli.

Come to think of it for all his famed ownership of Miuras, I don't think Ive ever seen a pic of him driving one in the public domain. So maybe this is a first.

I posted the ones I have of his Beverly Hills-based Countach in the late 70s in the Countach thread.

I wonder whose Miura the second one is outside Rod's house? Could it have been his too? He couldn't have had JLL 831K, which I think was a red S?, for long though if he replaced it with the SV as JLL 831K would have been registered towards the end of 1971, August at least, and his SV (details of the colour of SV 4818, delivery date to the concessionare and the name of which are in Joe's 'The Lamborghini Miura Bible') would have been delivered to him only months later. He may have owned the 2 together though the second one doesn't look like an SV to me? Does anyone know about this?

Fabulous. I love the colour. I prefer it with gold wheels and sills though, as it was originally.

On reflection I think I saw some early footage or an early picture of Rod with a P400 Miura that may have been white on the Parkinson show that was broadcast around the year 2000 or 2001. It could have been on a UK G registration. Anyone remember this? If this is the case the other car could have been his own P400 that he kept as well as the P400S? The P400 may have cost him the £6500 that he mentions in the video. The P400S would have been a lot more than that.

I was lucky to meet Rod when he owned the Miura SV reg LUC 38K,he told me at the time he had owned an early LHD p400, third car in the UK and a Miura S which is now painted blue and lives in Devon UK,these two cars are the parked outside his house in North London in the film,as Joe mentioned he has always owned and enjoyed the latest cars and is not into collecting

Thanks for your reply, Stephen. So Rod has had at least 4 Miuras, the early LHD P400, Miura S JLL 831K, Miura SV 4818 LUC 38K and SV 4866 he had in Beverley Hills.

I think the early LHD P400 he had may have been white. Think it was shown on a Parkinson interview broadcast in the UK around 2000 - 2001.

Great. Thanks again. I think they showed him in a Marcos too in the same Parkinson interview that showed him in the early P400. So how did he come to be sitting in your Marcos if you don't mind sharing?

Following a heated drive through the Surrey B roads on a Sunday in 1974 we stopped up and I was able to take some pictures,I was trying to keep up with 4818,this fired my love for Miura and I have owned three since

Fabulous, Stephen. Thanks for posting. You owned the Tony Iommi SV didn't you? Which Miura do you now own? I think I spoke to you on the phone a few times when I worked at Pullicino Classics.

I see now that it was the ex Peter Hay car that you had, yellow RHD SV 4816 LYV 168K. There is no car more beautiful on earth than that car.

Now that's (or should be) the ex-Tony Iommi car. Colour looks good in photos, but is even better when you actually see it.
