I had a recent electrical problem several weeks ago which blew some fuses and while trying to find the culprit I came across a light inside the center console. I also found relays to the window switches that looks like the previous owner had installed. Where does this light go? Not under the emergency brake handle - there's one that exists.

Anyone have a quick pic of the wires in proper places for windows switches of an 82' gtsi? Maybe a strange request but worth asking... :)

    Hi Steve,

I happen to have my console apart. I'll get you a pick this afternoon. Hopefully same on 80 308.

Possibly in or near the cigar lighter, as IIR that's the only other component on the console that lights.

I agree, it has mounting clips that would attach the the side of a lighter with an illuminated ring.....

and for the switches... sorry there is not more visible but the subframe runs right under them and mine are in pretty tight and didn't want to pull them out.

You got it... you have a 50/50 chance of getting the switch right. If you don't have the antennae working the way you want, just reverse the red/whit wires.
