Haven't been in a while...Real Estate here has been making a nice comeback if anyone cares and weekends are my making-hay days....checked the C and C forum and they say people have been blocking off sections, etc...must get there by 4am, etc....

Anyone going?? ETA for us Italian folk? Any input appreciated.....

Or should I just use the time for a re-drive of the Boardwalk Rally to Pilot Point? thanks

I haven't been to one of those meets in almost a year, have fun if you plan to attend.

It's really a Camaro/Pbug fest these days, but the reserved parking for the Italians is still in place. Get there early.

So...does that mean we will see you there tomorrow Tillman?

I don't think it's that bad of a Camaro fest...last time I went there were two SLR's and plenty of cars I hadn't seen before. That keeps it pretty fresh.

I left before 10, and after quite a few cars already left. I must have missed the excitement.

Guy on DFW Auto Club (the one that has the Ford GT with the "Fugitive Recovery" wrap) said he showed up around 11 and said the lot was deserted.

I'd like to know what happened as well. I had a friend of mine go, and I just asked him on Facebook.

I'm not sure if anything was 'shut down' or if everyone had just left. I left around 10:30 and the lot was almost cleared out.

As for the highlights, my favorites were two BMW 1M Coupes (black and white) and a blacked out GT2 RS. Also, there was a really cool twin turbo deTomaso Pantera (light blue) and an Oldsmobile Toronado that looked like it just came off the showroom floor.

I'm going to assume everyone left because of the heat. Don't blame 'em. Last month, I chugged 3 bottles of ice water in about 10 minutes.

Another reason to go to RUF's event during the summer months. You don't have to walk far to be in AC. :)

I left at 10:40 just because it was hot as heck and everybody else was leaving. The cause of early shutdown? HEAT!
