Hi guys, My exhaust headers are on their last legs. Time for a change to new ones. I really don't like the looks of the ones that Superformance is selling. (I DO like their price though). Any tips on where to get them? I got a quote from a company here locally for roughly $3000 to have a pair fabricated. No thanks... Superformance is around $1000 for a set. But.... I understand what you mean although if the Superformance headers have a larger inner diameter than stock I would say for you to use them. Stock is 1.5inch. You might want to check with Nouvalari in the UK
If the picture you show is the superformance headers, I say be wary, the bends were done on a crude machine , and the bends look rather restrictive, I would keep looking before I ordered those. Also shop around to find a cheaper shop to make them, or order the pieces from this outfit and take them to a local shop to weld, http://www.spdexhaust.com/
You haven't seen the bends in the stock 308 header I take it ... some guy was over at my place and thought all the wrinkles in the bends were deliberate by Ferrari and looked cool ... he wasn't a car guy obiovusly . cheers
still, they are better than the superformance units above. depending on compression and displacement, I supposed 1 5/8" would be best for this engine?
I have a Nouvalari exhaust, with original manifolds, and the quaility is outstanding. When I need new manifolds, my search will start there.
Equal dia. all the way. Stebro headers. Ceramic coated inside and out. Say what you want about Stebro, I have seen plenty negatives about Stebro on this site, but I got a good product from them. These things are not what they keep in stock so be prepared to wait. Tubi headers are the best in my opinion, but they are really $$$$$$$ For just a street car the stock headers are just fine. They don't look as nice but do the job. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've had to weld both of them back together after they had cracked and found that the material is VERY thin. Time for new ones...
