    Helmet
    Nomex suit
    Boots
    Gloves.

    Going to Roos school next month and will be getting the required license(s).

    +1 on OG Racing. I've known the owner Bill Love for two decades and he's a stand up guy. They are very knowledgeable, carry good lines and have liberal exchange policies. Mark Hopkins and Matt Yip are good contacts there, too.

    You in Ma? Go to HMS motorsport in Ma. As a first timer until you know what you want proper fitting is important. These guys are really good and when you get that first racecar they know safety gear.
