Only 4 entries this go 'round, but they're all really good. Poll will be up for 10 days and then the person with the most votes will choose the next topic. No voting for yourself.

    Good luck!

For execution, I vote for F1Tommy. Good work everyone.

When you view it so small, the vignetting at the edge of each frame is far more noticeable. No worries, though - lesson learned.

I took this one back on 6/26 (too late for the contest I believe). I found some distortion by zooming out that was masked by looking at it at full res. Even now, I couldn't quite get the color right between the artificial and natural lighting. Oh well. [IMG]

Maybe it's my messing with me. :-/ I can easily see the 4 light "pillars" on Sbrake's image where the pics are put together. I can't really see the same on my pic. I asked some friends to point out where my pics were put together (they were looking at my monitor) and they couldn't. But the quickly pointed out SBrake's pillars in the sky.

    Your panoramas are stunning :D:D:D

I see it on both images. It's not too noticeable, but if you look close enough it's on there. I see very small ones on Peter's but I can't see one on Tommy's as it may be a cropped image.

On yours, it looks to me like dark regions rather than the light pillars on SBrake's. There's one to the left of the left-most light on the RHS of the image, and there's another slightly to the right of the ship. There's also a dark smudge in the center. Of course, all could simply be actual lighting conditions, but my guess is that both are vignetting at the edges of individual frames or blending of multiple frames with slightly different brightness values.

Incidentally, I wish I'd pulled up the full res version before voting. I really like your image.

Yeah you are right about the welded parts of the image on mine. :)

I have to take some more time next time. It was a last day submission as I had absolutely no idea what to take pics of :-/

What did you do the stitching with? You could perhaps use the spot healing or pattern copy brush within photoshop. Photoshop's merging algorithm has a "remove vignetting" checkbox (something like that - I'm not looking at it ATM).

I think I'll go with something a little different. How about something from your childhood or that reminds you of your childhood?
