    Yes, a long time ago...In the original rotor drive design, the cam drive piece was isolated from the rotor mounting drive via bonded rubber. Likely, at some point in the car's past life, the rubber broke away and allowed slop in the rotor drive portion...and a DIY repair was made. As I recall, the was a TSB on these drives, as this problem (rotational play) was occasionally seen on some TRs. The solution: a new drive and she'll be better than new.

    The date of the notice is from back in 1986 so this might not be the final solution that Brian
    (Rifledriver) talks about that is the proper solution (improved plastic)

    The new parts use to come predrilled for the pin. The last one I got was not drilled for the pin so the cam may have to be removed to properly index the new piece.
