    I would like to lower a little bit my f430 spider with stock wheels and stock springs just for better looking.how much mm to drop down so do not have any issues?and instructions how to do that please.

    I have been looking into the something. The my conclusion thus far is 22mm will take the car to Euro hight, that should be safe. The other thought was to lower the car 1 inch in front and .75 inches in rear. I asked my dealer to do this... Gulp Gulp... The want $1500. Seems crazy expensive.

    I believe the gentleman with the 08 spider with the "wheel problem/before after and after" thread stated he spent $216 if I remember correctly. $1500 is loco.

    it should only be a 2-3 hour job for any qualified mechanic to do it.
    So your dealer charges 500usd per hour????

    Correct, I'm that "gentleman" :) My 22mm lowering was $216.00. There's just not much to it.

    So comparing prices from what you paid to what the OP was quoted; you could do the job almost 7 times over, if the reversal was free of course. Talk about markup. I wonder how many people have already paid the asking price?

    When I traded the black car for the yellow car. I told the dealer I wanted them to switch the wheels and lower the yellow car for me. They didn't even bat an eye because it's an easy process. However, the black car was lowered by Norwood Performance not the dealer.

    The owner at Norwood said it did not need to be re-aligned or balanced. I told him I didn't want to cut corners. He said If I was to track the car then yes, but driving around town it would not be necessary. He's the pro, not me, so I didn't. Of course three weeks later I traded it. The dealer also just lowered it for me with nothing else done.

    I would recommend always to realign the car after the smallest modification made at the suspension. Even if you don't lower your car, a regular realignment is very useful. Such cars are quite sensitive and even simple tire wear is already enough to need a new realignment. I.E : when I change tires, I get the car always realigned ;)

    I paid $800 at my independent but front & rear alignment was included.
