    I'd really want a Carfax on that one. And expect a tidy sum to be taken of the sales price.
    The repair cost probably cost as much as a new, more pedestrian, car.

    Just goes to show that no matter the wealth or social status, it doesn't neccesarily trickle down to the intellegence or driving skill of the owner / driver. Maybe even inversely proportional.

    I heard he bought the car and the cost to repair the scrape was ~30,000 USD.

    If he was mentally challenged, I'd say it was more because he didn't ask the people who were loaning him the car to orient it in the proper direction, i.e. facing into traffic so he didn't have to back out. Barring that, they should have politely stopped traffic so he could back out etc.

    First time in the car and he's supposed to back out into a busy street. Seems like the real idiots were the people who gave him the keys/car. And watched while he struggled.
