LOL! the problem is IMS is too flat and narrow for a NASCAR race to be particularly compelling. now if the Nationwide guys ran the F1 course, maybe I'd be excited
Good point. I wonder when the NASCAR guys will qualify. Imagine the mess if there are weather delays.
Made an edit while you replied. Borrowed the logo from the Grand-Am announcement: http://www.grand-am.com/news/index.cfm?series=r&cid=43869
Not sure what you are watching. Boring is waiting for the leaders that are usually 10 seconds apart to come by you once every 1:30 minutes, where the only real lead changes are because of pit stops. NASCAR has plenty of action and real passing. If you are a race fan, you understand the difference between F1, ALMS, and NASCAR. If you understand the intricacies of NASCAR, you just might find it very interesting. If not for my time as a professional photographer covering all forms of racing, I might not have seen this myself. Don't get me wrong, I much prefer to watch F1, but not because it is usually exciting, but because I like the look of F1 cars over any other. They just look great going by, even if the race is the typical boring event. And most of the drivers are unreachable.
For some reason unknown to me, IMS sent me two tickets for NASCAR practice day, I think that is usually on Friday. If anyone is gong to the race, and wants to go Friday, let me know, tickets are yours.
I guarantee you nobody would show.. Indy *IS* rated as the most boring race on the schedule, they SHOULD be using the road course anyway for Sprint Cup. And Nationwide SHOULD stay at the short track. Guys, I enjoy most of the nascar races, but they need to fix daytona and talladega - I really don't like this 2x2 crap, and as I said, Indy IS boring, and so are some of the cookie-cutter tracks - Kansas-Chicago-Vegas and even California.
I'm finally a winner! Woo Hoo! Not an outright win though; I tied with Whisky. Up to 4th for the segment and #1 overall. Take that BI! Sad part is I missed the race due to a wedding reception attended by the fire dept. See y'all at Applebee's...I'm buyin'. I thought the race was today? oh well I'm cookin' something up...don't get too comfortable at the top of the list, Ricky Bobby
I'm just trying not to waste all the possible starts for a few key guys, just like you guys are, like Paul Menard, David Ragan, Clint Bowyer, etc. Anyone else on the B list and C list is a crapshoot.. depending on the track. We need to figure out who Stuporbird and thirteendog is and get 'em back in the game, anybody have a clue?
thirteendog's screen name on here is....thirteendog. he's been online (including today), so maybe he just lost interest? don't recall who stupobird is.
FWIW, Capital City Cajuns is a non-FChatter friend of mine. He dropped off for awhile but is back in it after I told him about the new segment, i.e "Summer."
Nope. I did all I'm going to do, I made a posting, if they see it-fine, if not, then that's one less team I have to worry about. I did too much already, I should not have to babysit people.
Stewart-Haas Racing sweeps the front row at Loudon. this is usually the time of year when Smoke gets up on the wheel. could be a good weekend for him
