Hate to admit it, but I've hit (insert stupid number here) in a modded 740i Sport on the Tway (at night with no one on the road). I KNOW there are a few respected folks here who have had a bunch of fun with a few supercars (MC) (F) when the GB turnpike was fresh and clean...

    Silver and red, yo.

    Those were the days.

Yup, been there. Hate to say it, but I've done it too. This was back in early 2001. Monday or Tuesdays in the middle of the night. Had to test limits of top down and top up.

Guilty... I'll admit that was one of the first roads I took the Ferrari to. I live 5 minutes from it... enter at Mockingbird, blast to the downtown Dallas toll booth, turn around and blast all the way back up to I-635... turn around and do it again... hit speeds of 160+. I dont do it often, and I never do it with traffic or even moderate traffic... has to pretty much be wide open. It is soo smooth and when you go through the low spots with the high cement sidewalls your car reverberates off the walls and sounds like F1!

Did a run with a friend in a modded GT2 about a month ago. Stupid? Yes. Fun as hell running (not gonna say) MPH on a ribbon straight road EARLY Sunday morning when the Tway is EMPTY? You betcha. The run from MBird to downtown has no entrances...

Yep, I'll admit to being on of "those guys."

Was this at around 1:30 am?

I had some one pass me towards the end of the DNT in a white porsche 911...

Person was going 150+ easily.. probably closer to 170...

Wasn't us. There were NO cars om the road at the time. 1:30 is too early anyway. The bar/latenight crowd is still out. For the record, I was the passenger.

Being from Ontario, I can attest to the 407's notoriety. I have known of people with 6 figure exotics doing slow rolling start and full out stop-and-go drag races on some stretches at night with not another car in sight!

I've managed to exceedingly stretch the legs of some cars I've driven there, too :D

When my dad had a Jag X-Type Sport I decided to take it out for a leg stretcher at 2 am back in 08. Did a practice run to downtown to check out for the fuzz then made the blast back up to my place. It was one of the most thrilling things I had ever done up to that point. I dont know exactly how fast I was going (probably a good thing I dont know) but it was enough to make the lane dashes look like 3 solid lines on the road. It was fun, yes. I will never do it again.
