I went there 3 years ago for a weekend trip. We spend one day in the city, walked through the muslim street where you can get a lot of different food and buy all kind of things, rented a bike and rode around the city wall and we also went to the big water show at the wild goose pagodas in the evening. We also had a small earthquake (it was just a couple of weeks after the heavy ones in Sichuan Province in 2008), but luckyly nothing bad happend. The other day we went to the terracotta warriors and at some other sights (Banpo village - a 6000 years old village and the Huaqing Hot springs). Due to the earthquake we were not allowed to enter the clubs on saturday night so I don't have any Party experience from there. But the food on the streets past midnight near the drum tower was absolutely great Martin

The Bell Tower is located at the centre of the city and the muslim st is about 200m from the bell tower. There is a great dumpling restaurant near the muslim st and it's located on the first floor of a historical building next to the bell tower. I recommend a private english speaking guide. Cost me rmb 300 and the car+driver another rmb1,500. Its a half day visit for the terrocotta warriors. There is a large Shenzhen type massage place, great for the tired legs after lots of walking.

Buy a Lamborghini lah bro! And if u do it before next fri there is a track day and 2 nights at genting plus 2k in chips organized... And it's all free!! Talk about perks! The track day is the best part as totally empty! Heard the resort is stunning as well... Only toto u have to deal with, but you get used to him after a while.
