Yup it was certainly an eye-opening experience! Will upload the pics when I'm back in town.

The Huayra came to Spore before?! Honestly it doesn't look too bad in person..but I still prefer the looks of the Zonda.

Haha Jon just answered on my behalf. I was told by the staff during the tour that they will be made of glass.

I think the one in EVO's video is a prototype so they could have put plastic bits on that as production Huayra #3 was still under construction when I visited.

Played at Golf Vacation's golf tournament and Infiniti was a hole in one sponsor. Infiniti will be distributed by Wearnes and the showroom is located next to McLaren. The SUV will be going for late 200K with COE. Cheaper than a Cayenne but with a bigger engine.

Never had a fire extinguisher in the car. If there is going to be a fire, it's better to let the car burn and claim insurance. If you can stop the fire, the repair is probably going to be rather massive and i don't think you want to keep a car after it's been toasted. Moreover, how are you going to sell it. Everyone in town will know it's been toasted.

    Depends.

If you and I are in the same car, we can both sit on the flames and extinguish it.

Speaking of which, should we not take Lung's new truck out for a test run?

Totally agreed. Driver and passenger safety is of most importance. The car unless if it is a rare classic, you should not risk yourself trying to put out a fire. I have been to a few fire drill lessons, trying to put out a raging fire is more difficult then it seems, the 1.5kg fire extinguisher is not going to be effective unless it is a small stove fire. U need the big guns and by then you will be better off claiming total lost.

You are spot on. Better to be safe and as long as you n passenger is safe that is more impt.

Btw, I always thought that racing car come with fire extinguisher is becos is for the driver to save himself and not the car!!! If the driver caught fire as he is trying to get out of the car, with the fire retard racing suit on, the 1.5kg extinguisher will be very effective to put out the fire on his suit and also help his escape from the burning car.

That's what SCDF fire fighter do............

I have wondered whether they have souvenir shops at such factories where you can buy little and big things like models, key rings, t shirts etc....do they?

I have had my car go up in flames before. Worse still, it happened while the car was sitting beside the petrol pump in the petrol station. I had left the car with the attendant to pump the car with petrol, went to the loo, came out, and saw two guys spraying fire extiguisher on the car. The bonnet area was burning pretty bad but they managed to put out the fire before it spread to the canvas top of my car. Think it would have spread pretty fast if it hit my soft top.

Insurance was claimed although it was put out as we pushed it to be a total loss even though the front area was the only part that had been on fire.

Yes, my purpose of the fire extinguisher is for its occupants....I'd go the claim route for the car. If it's for the car, better off with the serious plumb in types as used in race cars.

Agree that if it's an engine fire, the bottle aint gonna help. But knowing how silly italian cars can for no reason whatsoever start smokin' in the cabin, the bottle may just come in handy imo. Having said that, probably not wise to stay in the car with doors and windows shut, and start shooting the extinguisher happily. Cos in the case of the powder type, you'll be covered in a blanket of possibly corrosive white powder, and in the case of the halon type, likely suffocate :)

Btw, just ordered 6 pcs from ian's contact. same price though, my haggling skill sucks. Will bring for jon and harold. Tim, you still want them right?
