Aaaah I see. I did a google translate from Japanese to English and could not tell if it was mentioned or not.
LMP cars describe the car as a "Lamborghini Countach LP400 Walter Wolf version", but pay no attention to the authenticity of that statement. Nevertheless its still an LP400, albeit highly modified.
You know the Pink Floyd song Money? It could be about Walter Wolf in the 70's. It's been said that people like Wolf and Silvera kept the factory going in the darkest of days... .
The car is a 1980 LP400S. It is one of Bob Wallaces twin turbo cars. The original engine didnt hold up and now has a modified QV motor. The motor was destroked by the previous owner, David in Vancouver, Canada with a new custom make crankshaft, and the stroker plates were removed from between the block and heads. David said it revs much quicker with the shorter stroke, though I got the feeling he really never got it running the way he wanted. It also has a custom made upper plenum. The wheels are original Bravos which he beat me out for on eBay years ago for $10K. The SV is just badge is just flair.
Martin: a "Countach SV" is a figment of someone's imagination, and as such does not exist amongst Lamborghinis manufactured at Sant Agata. To be precise, its a privateer modification. I'm only ever at pains to point some of these things out because its amazing how with the passage of time and the proliferation of the internet, fiction can become fact in the minds of some. Hope that answers your question.
Yes, the first red Countach owned by Wolf was indeed an LP400 Periscopa and you can see this in dozens of images posted on the internet, as also confirmed by its LP400 chassis number: 1120148. As to your second question, ApexOversteer has already pointed out the obvious: he could have had a dozen of them if he so cared. It was all a question of money, and at the time Wolf's resources were thought by some to be quite considerable. Added to that, Wolf had close ties with the factory via Giampaolo Dallara, and he basically got whatever he wanted. Hope this helps with your question. Image Unavailable, Please Login

You wouldn't happen to have a shot of the rear that shows the location of the rear side indicator? I'm betting it's on the fender spat...
