Great to see these old warhorses alive and kicking. The birdcage is beautiful, as is the D jag.

However, the black Stratos has stolen my heart.

Fred - thanks very much for posting, great to see Hans Herrmann and David Piper still demonstrating, and the Alfa P3 looks superb against the Ferrari Transporter.

Lots of awesome cars - for some reason, I find those 3.0CSL's REALLY attractive.

How did the Caddy do in the twisties? :D:D:D

I don't know what it's based on, but I asked the owners about it and they where not happy that I called the car a Replica. It has a Ferrari V12 engine and is not one of the Noble Replicas from England (at least that's what they told me).
    Here are some mroe pics

    Thank you for the pics!

That looks very much like the Replica built for Max Theiler - the former President of the Swiss Ferrari Owners Club.

I know the car and of course it is a full replica - but with Ferrari engine!

Thank you - i have seen the car years ago at the Ennstal Classic in Austria. the additional lights in the grille fooled me and i did not recognize it is 06785!

    again "P4":
in the first pic you can see Max sitting by the car - so its his "P4 PROTO".
i talked with Max about 10 years ago, when he showed the car at a meeting in slovenia. it is a new built chassis with only few original Ferrari parts and if i remember correctly it has a 412 engine.
i met Max - a very friendly and interesting personality - many times since with his other Ferraris but never saw that car again.

    i doubt that its a lamborghini engine. Max Theiler´s "P4" was powered by a Ferrari 12 - 365 GT2+2 or 365 GTC4 Engine. (412 Engine as i wrote before is nonsense, its a carb.engine).

Okay I think I'm thinking of another Max then. The best, or fastest (?), P4 replica is one that was built originally with a Lamborghini v12 because the 3.5 v12 is actually closer to what a real P3 or P4 would have. There was an article on it in a Classic and Sportscar mag many years ago.

I believe this car has since been modified with lots of carbon fibre parts, etc. and races a lot in South Africa against Pipers 250LM.

That has to be a different car. Max Theiler´s car sits in his collection in Switzerland.

According to the entry list this is Max Theilers car. Doesn't the plate help to identify it?

    Agree.

I wonder why this Max gets upset when somebody refers to his car as a replica ... it after all is!

.. of course he knowns about that. the car was built for him at high costs and with lots of heart and passion. so he prefers to call it a "prototype" and not a "replica". anyway - it is what it is!
