  5. Brian, every time I see that car, I think I'm going to lower my front. It just looks sooo good.

Great pictures, I could look at those kind of "history" for hours... already more than 30 years ago! For me it's like understanding, how times are changing...

Sidekick: A couple of kilometers away at the same time there was the b&b/Isdera CW 311 in a small garage in Frankfurt. And no one knows where it is today.

I don't know for sure, because in 1978, its entirely possible the man behind the wheel could be Cesare Lodi, who shared test-driving duties with Valentino Balboni.

I have a high-res of that pic and if you look closely you can see that the car has no passenger seat in it!

Pic is by Peter Cuneo Coltrin and I purchased it from the holder of his archives.

I love seeing these evocative photographs from the past, thanks for sharing them Joe, they're really special.

Slightly more up to date; here's a couple of shots taken from Friday's London Concours d'Elegance, held at The Hurlingham Club in London.

I was asked by the organisers if I'd enter one of my cars this year and as my Countach QV had just had its engine bay tidied (after both head gaskets were replaced by Mike Pullin at Carrera Sport), I asked if it was okay for me to bring the Lamborghini along.

What I didn't expect was to be driving home late on Friday evening with a prize for winning best post '74 car! The Iso Grifo in the photo beside my Countach won best pre '74 car, incidentally.

No one was more surprised than I was, the judges commentated they like my car because it wasn't a fully restored example and showed signs of 'usage'. i think that's a sort of back-handed complement..

You are welcome. At least they confirm that most people wore bell-bottomed trousers in the late 70s!

Anyone know where I can buy bell-bottoms? 70's design, not modern? Silk big collar shirt?
That would be cool to arrive at a show playing the part :)

    Ebay or vintage clothing store.

Gary Bobileff did that one year for the Pebble Beach Concourse. He looked very 70's Elvis and his girlfriend or wife (not sure which) was in a stunning short white dress with see through port holes and Go-Go boots.

Don't know any history, but it is an 88.5 model as evident by the strakes on the lower rocker panels and the Diablo digital climate control system.

Joe Sackey could probably clarify, but I didn't think any 5000QV came with that front wing? Wasn't that a 5000S DOT thing? So, someone must have tacked it on after the fact for some odd reason.....

It appears that the radio is an OEM Alpine and its nice that it has the complete toolkit also.

    Mike you are right.

The car has a number of small modifications inside & out, all of which can be corrected.
