Does anyone know of a source for the dryer shown in the drawing attached below? It is in my '84 400i equiped with dual air. McCann, Euro Spares and Rutland do not have it. Greg Image Unavailable, Please Login
Greg, I took mine to NAPA and they looked thru the parts book and found a match. I is common to a Saab - Idon't remember which. Cost me about $120.00 5 years ago. It is shorter tan mos receiver dryers. Tony
Give Daniel a call, this whould work for you... http://www.ricambiamerica.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=129101&osCsid=rqq1q7710d5cf3sg1unhuuaru0&x=6&y=5 edit: Part # for second switch is #129102
I talked with Dennis today and described the dryer in my car. His, and everyone else's, has three ports. Mine has 4 ports, all in the block housing the sight glass. He has seen them but does not know where to get them. He put me onto a guy in Ft. Lauderdale so we'll see what happens. I'll let everyone know if I ever locate a source. Greg
Some cars had two separate pressure switches (high and low) and hence needed the extra port. If you replace the dryer with a 3-port dryer you just need to have the dual hi/lo switch. My dryer came with the switch included so problem solved. Ken
+1 Mine had 4 ports but the drier I bought from Ricambi came with tthe dual switch. Easy repair, you can do it yourself. Just buy it and don't worry.
