Great looking event again. This is really turning into one of the best sportscar events on earth. After 40 years of changing rules from touring to modified touring to almost street cars then back to modified touring and now finally supercars they have finally gotten it right. Lets hope it stays this way. This race I think would be almost as important as Lemans if not for all those rule changes over the years.

one crashed heavily in front of us head on into the concrete wall
Kirkaldy taken out by medical team and put on stretcher.
They need more testing, racing and updating the car before it is really threatening for Audi or Porsche in GT3.
    Same goes for 458 GT3.

I wish this event were on American TV, even edited and tape-delayed.

As stated above the 59 crashed heavily on lap 2. The 58 suffered a massive engine failure which resulted in a fire that destroyed the car, but the 60 finished 25th overall, at least that was a pretty good result. Boy do those cars look fantastic!

The best placed Ferrari's were 5th, 6th, and 9th, really exceptional considering this is still their first year to compete. For what I saw it was a fabulous event, thankfully there were several live streams set up.

    Great event!

 That corner worker on the other side of the barrier had quite a view! I'd probably need to change my coveralls after that; very close call.

I noticed the same thing. different standards and protocols for corner workers in Europe vs America, it seems.

Doesn't look like there was contact from those pictures, could be wrong though. I wonder if McLaren are trying to cover that up? I also like how they called the #58 engine fire a small "thermal incident"
